e) An article was purchased for ₹ 2360 including GST of 18%. Find the price of

a) If A= { 1, 2, 3, 4}, B = { 3, 4, 5, 6} and C= { 5, 6, 7, 8}, find A∪ ( B ∩ C ).

per annum compounded annually. Calculate the total compound interest


payable by her after 3 years.
c) A road roller takes 900 complete revolutions to level a road. Find the area
of the road levelled, if the diameter of the road roller is 126 cm and its length
is 2.5 m.

a) The sum of two digit number and the number obtained by reversing the
order of its digit is 99. If the digits differ by 3, find the number.

b) Two candidates contested in an election. The


candidate who got 45% of the votes was defeated
by 321 votes. Find the total number of votes
polled, if no votes were invalid.

c) In the given figure, O is the centre of a circle.

a) The difference between increasing a number by 8% and decreasing it by 7% is
105. What is the number?
b) The length of the tangent drawn to a circle of diameter 10 cm, from a point P
outside the circle, is 12 cm. Find the distance of point P from the centre of the
circle.
c) Two cylinders of equal volume have their heights in the ratio 9:16. Find the
ratio of their radii.

a) Factorize:20x2 + 30x – 4xy – 6y.
b) In what time will ₹64000 amount to ₹68921 at 5% per annum, interest being
compounded half yearly?
c) A cuboidal steel box measures 40 cm by 50 cm by 60 cm. Find the cost of the
steel required for making 10 such boxes if 1 sq.m of the steel sheet costs ₹50.

b) Find the solution set for the given inequation: 4(x – 3) < x + 3 , x ∈ W.
c) Three bedsheets are purchased for ₹450 each. One of them is sold at a loss of
10%. At what price should the other two bedsheets be sold so as to gain 20%
on the whole transaction?

a) Find the number of faces, vertices and edges in a pentagonal pyramid and
verify it by Euler’s theorem.
b) If n(A) = 25, n(B) = 16 and n(A∪ 𝐁) = 35, find n (𝐀 ∩ 𝐁).
c) A salesman offers a discount of 12% on the vacuum cleaner which is marked
₹5400 and still makes a profit of 8%. What is the cost price of vacuum cleaner?

a) The perimeter of a semicircular protractor is 108 cm. Find its area.

a) Factorize: z2 – 13z – 30
b) The dimensions of a cuboid are 16m by 11m by 8m . It is melted to form a
cylinder of radius 4m. What is the height of cylinder?
