Introduction of the topic To initiate the topic,an activity will be
taken up wherein the sound of a few
animals will be played and students will
be asked to guess the animal and name it.
Domestic Animals To introduce the topic,the song “Old Mc
Donalds Had a Farm’ will be played and
students will be asked to name the
animals that they see in the song.
With the help of this,the term ‘Domestic
Animals’ will be introduced.
Definition-Domestic animals are kept in
and around our houses for work or food.
eg-cows,hens,goats,horses
 Milch Animals Milch Animals-Students will be asked to
Egg Laying Animals name their favourite milk product.With
reference to this they will be explained
that animals that give us milk are called
milch animals and they are very useful as
we get a variety of food products from
milk.

Egg-Laying Animals- Animals that give

us eggs are called egg-laying animals.Like
hens,ducks,geese.Many people eat eggs
for food.
