Hyperthyroid:<0.15
Hypothyroid:>7.0
Pregnancy:0.25-3.5

(1) TSH values between 4 to 15 microIU/ml- clinical correlation or repeat test with new sample

Serum T3 Estimation : 0.89 ng/ml 0.87-2.0 Ng/ml

(1) Decreased values of T3 (T4 & TSH normal )have minimal clinical significant & not
recommeneded for dianosis of Hypothyroidisim.
(2) Total T3 & T4 values may also be altered in other conditions due to changes in serum
proteins or binding sites.eg Pregnancy,drugs (Androgens,estrogens,OC Pills,Phenytoin) &
Nephrosis Free T3 & T4 are useful in such situtions .
(3) Total T3 may decrease by < 25% in health older individual .

Serum T4 Estimation : 9.12 microgm/dl 5.2-13.2 Microgm/dl

Total T4 value may also be altered in other conditions due to changes in serum
proteins or binding sites (Pregnancy,Androgens,O.C.Pills,Phenytoin etc) &
Nephrosis. In such situations, Free T4 is useful.
