1.4. Installation material

-- 4 fastening bolts for the external H.V. changeover switch
-- High-voltage cable
-- Protective earth lead ≥ 4 mm2
-- Cable 3 x 1 mm2
The length of the cables depends on where the external H.V. changeover switch is fitted.

2. Installation
2.1. Installing the external H.V. changeover switch
Reference: Installation drawing Z--2

S Establish where the changeover switch is to be fitted.

Please note:
The total length of the H.V. cables from the generator to the respective tube should not exceed 20 m.

S Fit the changeover switch according to the installation drawing.

S Connect protective earth lead with a cross section of ≥ 4 mm2.

GWB − E
The resistance of the protective earth lead must be less than 0.1 Ω.
S Connect up the H.V. cables.
For 3 units connect tubes 2 and 3 up to the external changeover switch.

2.2. Installing the tube extension 2WG for a third tube

Reference: Drawings Z1--14.1, Z2--14.3

S Connect up the tube housing according to the generator service instructions.

2.4. Setting-to-work
Put into operation according to the generator service instructions.
Room assignment in software programming is designed for patient data output. It is dependent on the hardware
assignment of tubes to the rooms. However, it is recommended that the hardware and software room assignment
be made to agree.
Before break-in and adapting the tubes always check acceleration, continued running and deceleration of the
anodes first.

3. Fault finding
The Tube Extension assembly only has changeover functions which are actuated via relays. For this reason any
faults occurring are usually due to the following causes:
-- Incorrect hardware assignment (connecting up, programming)
-- Software programming of the generator does not agree with the hardware programming.
-- Contact problems with the relays or connectors.
