Some people think international car-free days are an effective way of reducing air pollution;

however, others think there are some others way.

Dicuss both views and give your opinion

In this day and age, the international car-free days have become a prevalent initiative in
recent years in order to combat air pollution. However, some people have tendency to
contest the notion that this trend is universally positive and prefer to advocate for alternative
approaches. I contend with both of viewpoints which will be explored below.
In term of advocating the international car-free fays, it is urged that they could serve as an
effective method of reducing air pollution. By encouraging people to abstain from using their
cars every days, these initiatives aim to significantly decrease pollutant emissions and cacbon
footprints, thus enhancing air quality. A myriad of campaigns has been made in lots of city
around the world in order to persuade citizen to use transportations which produce less
pollution or nothing. For instance, the annual “ In town, without my car” is
an Eroup’s campaign to promote the use of alternative modes of transportation, increase
community awareness of the risks associated with pollution, and emphasize the importance
of long-term mobility in cities. This leads to fewer vehicles on roads and subsequently
reduces exhaust fumes.
By contrast, critics argue that alternative measures should be pursued instead of focusing
solely on temporary car bans. They maintain that such bans may not lead to lasting changes
in behavior or long-term reductions in air pollution levels .It is expected to happen in such a
short period because of lacking combination from other aspects .Those individuals propose
to investigate in infrastructure developments such as expanding public transport network
and generating lane just for pedestrians and cyclists .This idea is flawless for incentivizing
citizen to use bicycle or walk in place of relying on private cars, motorbikes and so on.
In conclusion, while international car-free days offer short-term benefits in declining air
pollution and raising awareness about its consequences, they may not be the most effective
long-term solution. Instead, it is crucial to invest in sustainable infrastructure improvements
and public transportation networks to encourage greener modes of commuting. By adopting
a comprehensive approach that combines car-free days with these strategies, substantial
reductions in air pollution levels can be achieved, leading to a healthier environment for
future generations.
