There is no specific gauge for this pattern. The size of the final project
will depend on the yarn and hook size used. As a general guide I used a 4
weight yarn and 4mm hook to get a 3 inch gauge swatch.
I would recommend making a test swatch to get an idea of how big your
project will be. Simply crochet a small square 10 stitches wide by 10
rows. Measure the length of your swatch then multiply by 15 that will be
your length. Using the same gauge swatch measurement, multiply it by 11.6
to get the width. This should give you a pretty good estimate of how large
or small your final project will be.
You can either use tapestry or intarsia crochet for the color changes.
There is a graph included in the pattern if you prefer to work from that
instead of the written instructions.
