 4- Scope of Work

The basic design criteria for the “Supply, supervision for Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of Control
system for Eastern Project in total consist of RTU system for collect data form Flowmeter through Modbus RTU
to transfer this data to central Scada system in their plant Location” shall be provided for efficient monitoring
and control of the Plant.

The system comprises of the below layers:

1- Giza Arabia will supply and supervision for Installation RTUs panels includes Sofrel RTU In different
locations.

2- Giza Arabia will supply Al-fanar panel enclosures or equivalent for each RTU.

3- Giza Arabia will supply instruments devices.

4- These RTU includes built-in GPRS.

5- These RTU supports Modbus RTU to collect data from field devices.

The panel will contain the following as:

• Central processing unit.
• Modbus RTU communication port
• All above data will be transferred locally to the SCADA system through 4G
• THE RTUs PANELS IP65
• Ambient temperature for RTU is 60’
• RTU doesn't be conformal coated

 6- Design Considerations
Our solution is based on Sofrel high performance products, The RTU control design is based on S4W controllers
without HMI for main RTU panel without IO module.

The RTU will collect data from the field instruments through communication interface Modbus RTU and perform
control actions though communication Modbus RTU. The field Instruments will be connected to RTU panel by
communication port by communication cable hardwired to ensure safety during manual operation.

The RTU Design considerations is based on received (Input/ Output) table as following:

• Supply any types of cables.
• Any power cables outside the PLC cabinets.
• Supply any kind of field junction boxes.
• Supply of any Fiber Optic Cables.
• Laying of Fiber Optic Cables.
• Cable laying from field to the control panels.
• Any termination, labeling or cable laying outside the PLC cabinets.

10- Assumptions

Giza Arabia is responsible for guaranteeing the equipment/ software/ material supplied under this tender against any failure
due to manufacturing, quality of materials and system for One year warranty from SAT completion or eighteen months from
delivery for all project bill of materials and services.
