Define Rectangle?
A rectangle is a 2D shape in geometry, having 4
sides and 4 corners. It has 4 angles, each measuring

Define Triangle?
A simple closed polygon formed by three sides and
three angles. is called a triangle.
Define Right Triangle?
A triangle in which one of the interior angles is 90o

Define Triangular Region?
A triangle is a figure which is formed by joining three
non-collinear points. The region which is formed by
the triangle is called triangular region.
Define Rectangular Region?
A rectangle is a figure which is formed by join-
ing four non-collinear points. The region which is
formed by the rectangle is called rectangular region.
Define Isosceles Triangle?
A triangle with two equal sides. The angles opposite
the equal sides are also equal.

Define Equilateral Triangle? A triangle in
which all three angles are equivalent in measure and
the length of the sides are same.
Define Similar Triangle?
Two triangles are said to be similar if their corre-
sponding angles are congruent and the correspond-
ing sides are in proportion.
Define Congruent Triangle or Congruency
of Triangle??
Two triangles are congruent if their corresponding
sides are equal in length, and their corresponding
angles are equal in measure.
Define Scalene Triangle?
Scalene Triangle is a triangle that has all its sides of
different lengths. It means all the sides of a scalene
triangle are unequal and all the three angles are also
of different measures.
Define Acute angled Triangle?
An acute triangle (or acute-angled triangle) is a tri-
angle with three acute angles (less than 90o ).
Define Ray?
A ray is a part of a line that has one endpoint and
goes on infinitely in only one direction.
Define Ratio?
A ratio indicates how many times one number con-
tains another. For example, if there are eight or-
anges and six lemons in a bowl of fruit, then the
ratio of oranges to lemons is 8:6.
Define Proportion?
When two or more such ratios are equal, they are
said to be in proportion. The ratios 1:2, 2:4, and 3:6
are equivalent ratios.
S.S.S Postulate or S.S.S ≈ S.S.S?
If three sides of one triangle are congruent to three
sides of another triangle, then the two triangles are
congruent.
S.A.S Postulate or S.A.S ≈ S.A.S?
If two sides and the included angle in one triangle
are congruent to two sides and the included angle in
another triangle, then the two triangles are congru-

H.S Postulate or H.S ≈ H.S?
If the hypotenuse and any one side of a right trian-
gle are congruent to the hypotenuse and the corre-
sponding side of another right triangle then the two
triangles are congruent.

If two angles and the included side of one triangle
are congruent to two angles and the included side of
another triangle, then the two triangles are congru-
ent.
