Description
Cummins Inc. is one of the leading manufacturers of automobile engines and parts. This project is to
merge Cummins engine and parts & service business with their filtration business. The application is used
across all its PDCs around the world. The application used is a customized module of Avalon ERP which is
integrated with other applications like WMS, Planning, Pricing and BI application. The main aim of this
project is to build the functionalities used by it Filtration business into the current order management
application and also to migrate the data from the filtration application to the engine and parts & service
application. The first phase of this project has been implemented in Europe and the next phase is to
implement in the other PDCs in USA and Singapore. The complexity of the project is because of various
applications interfacing with the order management system. There are customer orders which get created
thru EDI as well as manually. The order is then dropped to WMS system for picking and shipping. Once
shipping is done, the data is sent back to Order Management application for generating the Sales Invoice
and the finance data is transferred to Oracle Apps. There is another PDCs in France which deals in
Filtration parts which uses their own order management application customized for filtration business.
After the merger of the two applications, data is transferred to this application using Oracle Fusion
Middleware.

SAP FICO Level-2 Production Support

Description
Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) moved from the Tier-II QAD ERP (MFG/PRO) to Tier-I SAP R/3. As part of
Fusion 2. Rollout for 86 depots (52 JIT depots, 22 Direct dispatch units, 5 damaged depots, 7 Buffer depots)
and 4 Sales Accounting Branches was completed in phased manner. Post go-live three levels of support team
were formed and are operational. My primary role involves managing a team of consultants and to look into
the calls that are escalated to our team and to see the tickets are closed within the specified timeframe with
appropriate solution being given to the user. We are managing tickets related to GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, PS
and BRS. Apart from that, the team is also involved in Month-end support activities which includes
Assessment cycle run, COPA - TDD, Month-end closing activities, etc. The other activities that are involved are
– Interacting with the Users and various Support Teams (L1 & L3) for escalating, resolving the issues and
closing the calls on time. Handling of various support Tickets using Solution Manager, allocating the tickets to
the team members according to the load and priority of the calls. Understanding the new support and rollout
requirements of HUL and taking appropriate action accordingly. Ensuring timely resolutions of the issues raised
and adhering to the SLA.

could be improved. Key activities included mapping the JDE tables and fields to those in CoPilot, which is
crucial for accurate data transfer. The creation of conversion documents facilitated this process, while the
design of functional specifications (FS) ensured that data could be seamlessly transferred from JDE to CoPilot.
Additionally, the FS for voucher creation in JDE using Z tables was a critical component, as it allowed for the
automation of financial transactions. The management of the Home Builder Module setups was another
significant aspect, requiring careful configuration to meet the specific needs of the users. Training was provided
to ensure that all users were proficient in the new systems and processes. Finally, meticulous test cases were
developed and executed during unit testing, with thorough documentation maintained throughout to ensure

proper AAIs for generating correct offset accounts. Adopted best practice of carrying out the reconciliation

testing.

Description
This project mainly was aimed to implement ERP System at all the branches of Voltas throughout India.
Project Contract was given to TCS and I was working on this project. From Voltas side a team of
members who was having Functional as well as systems experience had been formulated to take part in
the implementation process. It involved Unit Testing, co-ordination with Super and End users, carrying
out the Master Setups, Reconciliation process, Documentation of the enhancement being made in the
system, escalating issues to the HO IT Team and getting the solution from them.

 Implemented the Avalon ERP by carrying out the unit testing and master data setups.
 Created Entities, Location, GL Periods, main account, sub-account and project codes as and when
requested by the department.
 Carried out the Setups for GL, AP, AR, Sales, Purchase, Bank Reconciliation and Travel Management.
 Written programs / scripts for uploading of Opening Balances pertaining to Inventory (opening stock), AR
(open Invoices and Payments), AP (open Vouchers and Payments), GL, Sales and Purchase Orders.
 Prepared Test Case and carrying out the Unit Testing and documentation of the same.
