2024/25
1) Fee Status: Fee status is assessed in accordance with the Education (Fees and Awards) Regulations
1983 (as amended). Additional guidance on Home/Overseas fee status is available from the UK Council
for International Student Affairs (UKCISA).
2) With the exception of students from the Republic of Ireland, covered under the Common Travel Area
arrangement, fees for students from the European Union can be found under 2024/25 Tuition Fees
(International), along with information about scholarships and other financial support.
3) These are fees for students starting a programme during the 2024/25 academic year. Fees for
continuing students can be found by referring to the schedule that corresponds to the year of the
commencement of studies, here.
4) Please note that additional bench fee/laboratory charges may be raised on certain postgraduate
programmes. Students will be informed of this when offered a place at the University.
5) Part-time Fees: Unless listed separately, part-time fees for programmes are charged as an approximate
proportion of the full-time fee.
6) Tuition Fees for Staff: All Bangor University employees (with the exception of those who are currently,
or about to be, registered as a full-time student) are eligible to be considered for a fee waiver on
University programmes. (See Tuition Fees Policy)
7) Charging and Refund Policy: Students should ensure that they are aware of the financial implications
of suspending or terminating their studies prior to accepting their offer of a place at the University.

8) Important: Withdrawals & Suspensions Students considering leaving should please consider this
advice. Tuition fees will remain due up until the date that the University receives a correctly completed
university withdrawal/suspension form; retrospective suspensions will not normally be authorised.
9) The following fees are indicative of those that will be charged by the University for the academic year
2024/25 (not every programme is listed). No variation on these fees will be allowed without written
confirmation from the University.

~ Subject to Approval: Fees will be set in line with ‘Doctoral Stipend Levels and Indicative Fees’, set out by
UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), which are expected to be published in April/May 2024. The fees
published here are an estimate, based on previous annual increases, and will be updated following the UKRI
publication of the indicative fee level.
* Additional ‘bench fees' may be charged and will be detailed in the formal offer letter.
