LETTER OF ADMISSION
I. Following your application, we are pleased to inform you that you have been admitted to Kiambu National
Polytechnic KINAP for Electrical Engineering (power option) LEVEL 6 course in the ELECTRICAL AND
ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT. The date of reporting for admission is on 06thMay, 2024
between 6.00 am and 4.30 pm.
II. You will be required to bring the following:
a) Medical letter and form duly filled, downloadable from https://students.kist.ac.ke, stamped and signed
by a government medical officer after you are medically examined
b) Original and copies of your ID, KCPE and KCSE Result slips /certificates, form four leaving
certificate and Birth Certificate for verification. Please note that presentation of FORGED documents
is a criminal offence and the institute shall not be held responsible for the consequences therein.
c) One 1 Copy of 40mm by 50mm Digital passport photograph
d) This admission letter. Kindly make a copy to be retained on admission
e) Duly filled student biodata form downloadable from https://kiambupoly.ac.ke
f) Duly signed KINAP student guide which shall also be counter signed by a senior KINAP Staff,
downloadable from https://kiambupoly.ac.ke
g) A non-programmable scientific calculator fx-991MS or equivalent.
h) A list of essential tools and books downloadable from https://kiambupoly.ac.ke
III. Information relating to school fees payment is attached and also downloadable from
https://kiambupoly.ac.ke
IV. It is recommended that a KINAP trainee should have a laptop as it will be very essential for carrying
out research and project work.
Note: i) Fees once paid is not refundable under any circumstances. The KINAP Board of Governors
reserves the right to review the fees from time to time.
ii.) Following your placement/application in this institution, you are eligible for a Government
Scholarship, Loan and Bursary to assist with your educational expenses. If you need Government
financial support, you MUST make an application for consideration through the official website
www.hef.co.ke. In case the Government Scholarship, Loan and Bursary do not cover the entire cost of
your programme, the deficit will be met by your parent/guardian

1. a) BOARDING OPTIONAL PER TERM - Kshs. 6,200.00

 Boarding is subject to availability of rooms and full payment of tuition fees and other levies. Students
are strictly NOT allowed to cook or use heating appliances in the hostels.
b) HOSTEL REQUIREMENTS
The following personal effects will be required during admission

2. CATERING
A variety of meals shall be served in KINAP cafeteria on Pay - As -You - Eat (PAYE). Students will
be able to make a choice from the available meals. All students, both borders and commuters, are
encouraged to take their meals in our Cafeteria.
A copy of KINAP menu is available at the Institutes notice boards. The parents / Guardians should
provide the student with at least Kshs. 200.00 per day. This is an estimate for breakfast, lunch and
supper.
3. MODE OF PAYMENT
All fees must be paid in full on the reporting date. Payments should be made through:
