You are a Business Analyst documenting as-is business rules, and you decide to use a decision tree in
order to describe a repeatable business decision.

In this case, the process involves offering a credit (exchange/refund) to customers who call in to
complain about faulty products. The business rule is as follows:

1. If the customer ordered direct their information is in the system and they do not need to provide
proof of purchase.

2. If the customer did not order direct, they need to provide proof of purchase if the item price is
over $200. Under $200 they do not need to provide proof of purchase.

3. If the customer has an extended warranty on file, the item is replaced free of charge and
shipped immediately, without needing proof of purchase.
