In month 1 ICT introduces the 4 delivery cycles of IPDA, Expansion, Retracement,

Consolidation and Reversals. These frameworks and contexts allow for a trade idea to form. t
In Lesson 1 and 2 ICT talks about them, but he sometimes contradicts himself in the en
em consolidation
lessons, for example in lesson 1 he says consolidation can occur after an expansion but in
ac
lesson 2 he says that can never occur. Therefore, I have taken everything he's said in those tr
2 videos with a grain of salt, and I have attempted to figure out the delivery cycles myself.
re
ICT if you are reading this, It would be awesome if you clarify yourself on how the delivery
cycles work and to clear any confusion, therefore take anything I say here as a personal
theory and not to be set in stone. Study it yourself and see if what I am saying true. But this
is simply how I am interpreting price at the moment in terms of the delivery cycles.

Here are the rules I've discovered regarding the price delivery cycles of IPDA.

Consolidation leads to only Expansion (This was explicitly stated by ICT)

Retracement leads to only Expansion (This was explicitly stated by ICT)
Expansion leads to Retracement, Consolidation, or Reversal Not sure about this last one, but for me, it's logical that reversal can also move to expansion
Reversal leads to Consolidation or Retracement

As FX21F1422 pointed out, "Retracement leads

to only Expansion (This was explicitly stated
by ICT)",

To understand why we cannot have

consolidation consolidation -> retracement
one can draw a price action profile and look at
retracement the situation. Both of these situations would be
labeled as what?

A: expansion
consolidation
