Anticipatory set (Lead in):
Singing a song with students to get them ready to the new lesson. (5m) Asking the students to think about stories they’ve read before emphasizing that though all stories are different but all of them have 3 parts: setting – characters - plot. (5 – 7m) I introduce the story assessing the students’ prior knowledge telling them that the there is no perfect crime. (7m) Sequence of instructions (Activities): Asking the students some questions to answer about the story and some others to find their answer while reading. The students read the story. (12- 15m) Asking and answer questions about the story and the characters while reading. They act the story at the board. (10 - 15m) Emphasizing on the moral of the story. Compare and Contrast: Cause and Effect: Playing the video of the story. (7m) The students answer the questions over the comprehension passage and other questions in their practices books. (10m)
