INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY (ICT) PLAN
FOR SY 2023-2024

I. Present ICT Situation:

The K to 12 Curriculum mandates that learners should acquire the following


Digital Literacy Skills:
● Productivity Tools in Grades 4-12;
● Basic Programming in Grade 7;
● Multimedia Skills in Grades 8-10; and
● Vocational ICT Courses in Grades 11-12.

Deliver the curriculum for productivity tools. The Department needs to


provide every 6 sections from grades 4-12 an e-classroom package containing
50 Tablet PCs, a printer, and a wireless router to ensure that classes, where
learners are exposed to said skills, can be conducted at least once daily. Deliver
the curriculum for basic programming, multimedia skills, and vocational ICT
courses. The Department must provide every 24 sections from Grades 7-12 with
an e-classroom package of 50 laptops, a printer, and a wireless router to ensure
that learners for the said grade levels are exposed to these skills for at least two
hours per week.

With technology evolving rapidly, an ICT plan ensures that the education
system remains adaptive to emerging technologies, preparing students for the
challenges and opportunities of the future.

II. Teaching and Learning

1. Technology Integration for Enhanced Learning

In the digital age, students must be equipped with digital literacy skills.
The ICT unit will be coordinating with the Curriculum Implementation Division
(CID) to strengthen technology integration in all learning areas. Learners should
be given access to and be proficient in using technology, preparing them for
future academic and professional pursuits.

2. Resource Optimization:

Appropriate resource allocation is necessary to promote the use of


digital textbooks, online libraries, and educational software, reducing the
need for traditional, often expensive, printed materials.

3. Professional Development for Teachers

Schools should also prioritize training programs for teachers and

1. Data-Driven Decision Making

The school’s database allows the collection and analysis of data


related to student performance. This data-driven approach enables

2. Efficient Administrative Processes
