Chatbots have gained significant attention in various fields, including

research, due to their potential to enhance communication, gather data,
and streamline processes. The training will explore the application and
ethics of chatbots in research. It will discuss the benefits and challenges
associated with using chatbots, examine their potential applications in
different research domains, and address ethical considerations
surrounding their deployment. This training aims to provide a
comprehensive overview of the current state of chatbots in research and
highlight their implications for the scientific community.
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, today is July 17, 2023, Monday,
Welcome to the first day of the webinar on “Application and Ethics of
Chatbots in Research’’ conducted by the International Association of
Research Ethics Across Disciplines, Inc.

The two-day webinar aims:

1. To understand the Application of Chatbots in Research;
2. The Ethical Consideration in Chatbot Research, and
3. To promote Ethical Practices in Chatbot Research.

Now, without further ado let me introduce to you our speaker:

He is the first Filipino scholar to hold a distinction as holder of FIVE doctoral
degrees in Education, Management, Human Resource Management, Instructional
System, and Organization Development. He is a regular member of the National
Research Council of the Philippines - Division of Social Sciences. A finalist in
Metrobank Search for Outstanding Teachers, he has conducted training and
conferences in the Philippines and 20 other countries. He was the Dean of Father
Saturnino Urios University and Vice President and Director of Research at Liceo
de Cagayan University. He has managed journals that were accredited by the
Commission on Higher Education and indexed by
Thompson Reuters /royters/,
Cengage Gayle,
Proquest,
Ebsco Host, and the
Philippine Electronic Journals.
He is a visiting professor at public and private universities. He is a published and
cited author. He is the first entrepreneur who successfully organized conferences
in Asia and the Pacific serving clients in over 50 countries, AND currently a
Professorial Chair Holder of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. Please
