I think university education should only be free for some special majors like

B1: On my birthday I often prepare a good meal and invite some close friends to

My favourite family celebration is Tet holiday because I can relax and meet my
friends, relatives and I spend time with my family.

The best way to travel in my city is motorbike because it’s convenient and fast.

The best way to travel in my city is motorbike because it’s convenient and fast.

I think people should use public transportation more because it is cheap,
convenient and safe.

If my father gives me a sum of money as a birthday present, I will buy a new
laptop because it’s very necessary for me to learn with the help of documents on

Examinations are necessary to check students’ understanding and ability. However,

in fact, examinations cost a lot of money, take time, and unfair. For example, every
year, the government spends a big amount of money for the university entrance
exam, it also takes a month to score and still have many problems.

Yes, I do because music helps me relax after work.

I like traditional music because it helps me relax and feel so proud of my country.

I think music is good for people because music helps us to reduce stress and helps
us to cheer up and change my moods.

Did you learn English at secondary school?
C1: No, I did not. When I was at secondary school, I studied Russian.
C2: I am keen on learning English very much and I started learning E when I was
at secondary school.
What do you think about how English is taught at school now?
I think English at school is taught based on traditional grammar method which is
boring and it is one of the reasons why our students are not interested in learning
English.
In what ways has children much improved nowadays?
There are many ways to learn English but I think the best way is to watch E movies
and listen to E music.

An optional subject will be added to the curriculum for secondary students in
your city. Which do you think is the best option for secondary students?

I think I will choose a swimming class because it will help students keep fit, and
become active in real life. I donot think photograph is necessary because not every
student can buy a camera and dancing is a boring subject to them.

I think language is an element of culture. Firstly, language is the best mean of

culture. The culture can be shown by the way people talk and listen to others.
When communicating with each other and learning about the culture is the most
effective way people use to communicate and understand about other countries. If
there is no language and culture, people can’t understand anything about the world
that we called culture shocks.

Do you think it’s good to understand other people’s cultures?
I think it is good to understand other people’s cultures because this is the only way
to make sure that you do not misunderstand what other people say and sometimes,
it leads to some serious problems of lacking respect.
What would you introduce first to a foreigner about Vietnamese cultures?
If I meet a foreigner, I would introduce him/her about the way to welcome
somebody in Vietnamese culture. We often greet other people with a smile or some
words asking about health, jobs, and families, for men, they often greet each other
by shaking hands.
What would you like to learn about English –speaking cultures
I like the way people live independently and work hard and the way men behave
politely with women, they often open the door are the last to go into the room.

What subject did you like most when you were at school?
My favorite subject at school was English. I’m not very good at English. But I like
very much. English is an international language so it is very important and useful
for my future job.
Do you think English is a good subject for all students to learn at school?
Why?
I think English is a good subject for all of students at school because it’s an
international language. If students can learn English well, they can get a good job
with high salary. They have a lot of opportunities to have a better future.
Do you think students are learning too many subjects at school now?
Students now have many lessons on too many subjects at school. They have to do
homework and study all of the time, so students do not have enough free time to
take part in other physical activities to help them keep fit.

You are going to take your secondary school students to the cinema. What
kind of film do you think it best for the students?

I think a detective movie will be the best choice. Students are curious, they want to
know many things, they try to guess what is going on and want to share their ideas
and comment on situations.Cartoon is not suitable for their age. Action movie
usually contains many violent actions that may affect students’ behavior.

I think punishment is necessary when the students do not obey the rules. Teachers
have their own way to punish students by redo exercise, do the duties, etc. the
punishment may help students concentrate on their study, and teachers can
minimize students’ misbehavior and make them obey the teachers.

C1: I think punishment by teacher to students at school should be encouraged in a
suitable way, and teachers should inform the parents about their child’s
misbehavior
Do all students obey their teachers whenever they receive punishment?
C1: No, they don’t. Some are still have mistakes and still be punished by the
teachers.
What are the downstairs of overuse of punishment at school?
The overuse of punishment at school will make the students unsatisfied. They may
afraid of going to school, or they keep making bad things.
