Dear Sir,

I, the undersigned, the Parent / Guardian of Mr. / Ms. ____________________________Studying in

____________, Semester _____ hereby state that –

I am in knowledge of the voluntary International Study Tour to Western Europe June 2024. I am aware that
this is not a compulsory tour organized by any institute, but few group of students and faculty members have
opted to join this tour on their own along with other members of the tour who may not be belonging to SCET.

I, hereby agree and understand that, this tour is not organized by / for Institute of Design, Planning and
Technology, Sarvajanik College of Engineering and Technology (IDPT-SCET), Surat and therefore even
outsiders and even students of other colleges may too join this tour. This tour is completely voluntary and the
students, (my/our son/daughter/ward) and the faculty members are joining the tour completely at our/their own
cost and risk, and that SCET is not responsible for any incident/mishap/transactions/dealings, what so ever.

I also hereby assure that my child/ward will follow all rules and regulation of the tour and will abide with the
laws of the countries to be visited and that my child/ward will follow all necessary instructions of safety and
discipline.

I also understand that there is a lot of differences between the culture, diet, (eating and drinking), values and
behavior/beliefs (Physical, social and emotional) of the countries like Germany, France & Switzerland and
the culture, diet, values and behavior/beliefs etc. practiced by most of our Indian families, I hereby agree that
our child/ward will practice all proper and appropriate behavior/action on his/her own as expected by our
Family, society, Culture, Religion etc. and we understand that other persons/faculty members/
institution/organizers shall not be responsible for any of the behavior/acts of our child/ward.

I also understand that all/any other members going to the tour including few faculty members are joining this
tour as co passengers only and not as responsible authority/persons and therefore shall not be performing any
duties as responsible persons/guides/escort and shall not be doing any “moral policing” hence it will be
completely the responsibility of my/our child/ward for every act he/she will do during the tour and other
persons/faculty members/institution/IDPT-SCET/organizers shall not be responsible for any
mishap/accident/immoral act/illegal act done by our child/ward or members.

I/we have read the Itinerary, terms and conditions, regulations, terms of cancellation charges etc of the tour and
shall be binding to me and our child/ward.

I hereby request you to kindly sanction leave for the said period (22/06/24 to 03/07/24) and issue necessary
letters/documents for Visa for the countries to be visited.
