Hi I’m Kim Ngan!

I come from Tran Dai Nghia high school for the gifted in Ho Chi
Minh City. As you already know, this video main topic is about my future self as a
global citizen, about what issue I am addressing at the moment. With all that being
said, let’s get started!

Firstly, let me ask you a question: have you ever experienced poverty before? For
those who answer yes, it is truly an unforgettable experience, isn’t it? For me, I have
been fortunate not to experience it, but there is one thing that I know for a fact is that
there are two hundred and fifty-eight million people in our today world who are
experiencing it. And as a global citizen, I have the responsibility to address this
issue.

So what’s my plan? It is simple, seeking support from other people. Wait, don’t get
me wrong, I’m not doing it in the traditional way. Instead, I will focus mainly on
Facebook and Tik Tok, where I will be creating posts providing updates about
countries which are needing financial support. And then I will attach a link from
United Nations, a prestigious donation site, so that people are more willing to make a
donation.
For example, such as the earthquakes happened at Syria and Turkey, I will create a
post about how greatly the Turkey and Syria people had been affected by it and that
they are needing substantial support from us. And then, I will attach the United
Nation donation link in it so people will feel more willing to make a donation to a
prestigious site. And the goal I have set when I come up with this plan is by 2028,
every of my posts will have reached 2.000.000 people and 500.000 people making a
donation. And you will wonder if people really want to make a donation right? Don’t
worry about it, beside making posts on Facebook, I will hire advertisement from
Facebook and which there is a function which increase the people who prefers to
click in links, so I can guarantee that every people who have read my posts will
surely take action to help the world. Although this method is not cost-effectiveness,
but I can guarantee that it will obtain good results.

And after having said that, you will also wonder what about Vietnam, Vietnam still
have a lot of regions which are still in poverty right? I agree with it but for me, it’s
much easier to help those people since at my school, there are several donations
opened for students so I just can help those regions at the press of a button. But
when it comes to the world, I must put a lot more effort in it since we just can’t raise
money in a traditional way and send to a country. And finally, last but not least, you’ll
probably wondering why I am set out to do such challenging goals like that, right?
The answer is simple. It is because I want to be the exact definition of a global
citizen, a person who are aware of the problems of the world and who can inspire
others to become one too.
