INTRODUCTION
MULTI SKILLS DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY IS ESTABLISED
AS ON 02-June-2016 AS A Registered Societies (Non-Government)
IN UTTAR PRADESH.
PROBLEMS
1. Infrastructure Deficit: While there have been
improvements in infrastructure development, there
are still areas in Rampur that lack basic amenities
such as proper roads, clean water supply, and
sanitation facilities. Insufficient infrastructure not
only affects daily life but also impacts economic
growth and overall city development.

This report outlines the initiatives and achievements of Project Concern International
collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Rural Livelihoods Project (UPRLP), locally known as
JEEVIKA. Over the past few years, organization has worked closely with the SHG
group in association with JEEViKA.
About Project: -
MSDS’s has utilized the social capital created through SHGs to strengthen their
agency and decision-making skills to make them self-reliant. MSDS has delivered
PACE curriculum to enhance psychosocial competencies and interpersonal skills of
SHG leaders to help them make informed decisions, solve problems, think critically
and creatively, communicate effectively, build healthy relationships, empathize with
others, and cope with and manage their lives in a healthy and productive manner.
and its outcomes. I grabbed this opportunity of having detailed study on training
modules like:-
• Communication
• Problem solving and Decision Making
• Time and stress management
• Water and sanitation
• Financial lliteracy
DAY 2 to 3:-
I got an opportunity to visit “sarai” with the MSDS’s training team. The team was
engaged in providing training to the C.M didi on components of communication. In the
training sessions I also got opportunity of participating in group work and understand
how these trainings are effective SHG members in a positive way. 20 to 25 C.M didi
were participating in the training. The training that they got they will help them to apply
in their daily life to make it easy and accessible to their entitlements.
In these 2 days I visited 5 SHG meetings in different villages where SHG meetings
were being conducted and in the same meeting PACE curriculum were also being
delivered. They were taking high interest in participating in group exercises and know
more about how communication will help them in their day-to-day assignments.
OBSERVATION:-
It's a great initiative by PCI to provide training to jeevika SHG members. The life skill
sessions were they know about better way to communicate to the people, well
behavioral, health, sanitation, and they all things learn by practical method. With the
help of this life skill session many changes in their life like they be a good speaker,
improved their decisions make ability, confidence, money handling, social awareness
and many more, some of them have ability to be a good leader or to represent their
place to very well. I think it's a great initiative to Women Empowerment.

MSDS’s (MULTI SKILLS DEVELEPMENT SOCIETY) has taken several proactive steps to
socially Aware in the region, fostering gender equality, economic self-sufficiency, and social
progress. Some of the key initiatives include:
1. Vocational Training Programs: MSDS’s offers skill development and vocational training
courses that cater to the specific needs of people. These programs equip people with
practical skills in fields such as tailoring, handicrafts, computer literacy, and more,
enhancing their employability and economic independence.
3. Self-Help Groups: MSDS facilitates the formation of self-help groups (SHGs) where
people come together to pool resources, share knowledge, and access microfinance. These
groups provide a platform for people to collectively engage in income-generating activities
and community development projects.

people's health, reproductive rights, and hygiene practices. By improving people's health
knowledge, MSDS contributes to their overall well-being and that of their families.
6. Gender Sensitization Programs: MSDS organizes workshops to sensitize both women and
men about gender equality and women's rights. This fosters a more inclusive environment
and challenges gender-based stereotypes and discrimination.
8. Advocacy and Legal Support: MSDS provides advocacy and legal support for people
facing discrimination, violence, or injustice. This ensures that people are aware of their
rights and have access to justice.

various dimensions of their lives and enabling them to lead more empowered, fulfilled, and
self-sufficient lives.

CONCLUSION
For those who have social empowerment is essential and both a process and
an outcome. The Three levels listed below are normally where social
empowerment is implemented:
1. The Individual Level - This is the level at which the person actively want
to engage in life and values himself or herself.
2. Family Level - This is where the family receives help and advice.
3. Community Level - This is where an awareness campaign can be carried
out.
