The Boy Who Cried Wolf

Once upon a time, there lived a mischievous shepherd boy. His daily duty
was to oversee his herd of sheep as they grazed among the green hills. Every
day, he sat under a shady tree watching the sheep grazing nearby.
One day, he felt bored and longed for excitement. So he decided to have
some fun by fooling the villagers around. He began to shout, “Wolf! Wolf!
Please help! The wolf is eating my sheep”
Hearing the boy’s cries, the villagers believed that there was a real wolf and
rushed to help him. But once they reached the scene, they found him
laughing hysterically. ” I Fooled you all!” he giggled and laughed.
The villagers scolded the boy for his foolish prank and returned to their
homes with resentment.

Days passed, and the boy felt bored once again. This time, he decided to
play his trick once more. “Wolf! Wolf! A wolf is attacking the sheep! Help!
Help!” he cried. The villagers came running to his aid, only to discover the
boy deceived them once again. “You got fooled again!” he exclaimed, rolling
on the ground with amusement. The villagers, now frustrated and wary,
warned him sternly not to ever deceive them again.
One fateful evening, a real wolf crept into the village, drawn by the scent of
the sheep. Terrified, the boy called out desperately, “Wolf! Wolf! This time it’s
real! Please Help!”

But the villagers, remembering his previous lies, ignored his cries, believing it
to be another trick. Tragically, the wolf attacked the sheep, and all his cries
for help went unanswered.

The boy was helpless losing his sheep to wolf with no one around for help. He
sat alone and mourned the loss of his sheep, realising the importance of
trust and honesty. The boy understood that his lies had cost him dearly,
teaching him a valuable lesson: dishonesty and deception have
consequences.
