Introduction
Interloop Limited, launched with 10 knitting machines in 1992, has grown into one of the
world’s largest Hosiery manufacturers; a complete vertically integrated company with state of
the art Spinning, Yarn Dyeing, Knitting and finishing facilities. With over 5,000 latest Italian
Knitting Machines, 24,000+ employees and an organizational network spread over 3 continents,
Interloop has the proficiency to work with different materials and make a wide range of products.
From scratch to becoming a US$ 300 million company, Interloop produces 700 million pairs of
Socks & Tights annually, for top international brands & retailers.
History
In 1992, two entrepreneur brothers (Musadaq Zulqarnain & Navid Fazil) along with Tariq
Rashid created what has now become one of the world’s largest Hosiery Manufacturing and
Exporting Company. The pioneers along with the team worked passionately day and night to
create history in hosiery manufacturing. It all started one fine day when the younger brother
Navid shared the idea of starting a Hosiery company with his mother Begum Sarwari Sadiq who
consulted her elder son Musadaq. The idea seemed doable. Both Tariq and Navid went to Italy to
learn the basics of knitting and so began the journey of building a Global Company.
Name of company
One afternoon over tea in April 1992, the pioneers discussed options for the company name and
selected ‘Interloop’ based on the meaning of Knitting ‘Interlooping of the Yarn’.

Interloop has been recognised all over the globe for instituting sustainable practices for its

Interloop Limited participated in the UN Global Compact Living the Global Compact Best
Practices Sustainability Awards 2020 for the first time and won the 3rd Prize in the large scale
manufacturing category. Interloop was conferred the annual adidas Performance Award, 4th time
in a row, for making a true difference in the community by supporting Children’s Education &
Better Career Opportunities for Women in collaboration with UNICEF & UNWomen. Interloop
was also conferred the Performance Award in PEOPLE Category by adidas Group in 2016,
2017, based on its Employee Welfare Initiatives.H&M conferred the Sustainability Award on
Interloop Limited in 2016 for its People and Environment focused Initiatives.Employers
Federation of Pakistan (EFP) in collaboration with International Labor Organization (ILO)
recognized Interloop with the ‘Best Practices Award on OSH 2017’ in the Textile and Leather

Housery
Interloop Limited has maintained its position as one of the largest suppliers of socks globally,
over the last 29 years, exporting to top brands and retailers, including Nike, adidas, Puma,
Target, H&M, C&A, Amazon, and Uniqlo, to name a few. With 5 vertically integrated
manufacturing facilities spread across South Asia, including 4 in Pakistan and 1 in Sri Lanka,
Interloop Hosiery is equipped with the latest Italian Knitting Machines, Spanish Processing
Machines, and Italian Dyeing Machines, having quick changeover capability and highly skilled
staff to produce high volumes of standard mix and low volumes of customized
products.Interloop Plant 4, located at Interloop Industrial Park is Pakistan’s & Region’s First
LEED Gold Certified Socks Production Facility.
Knitwear
Established its Knitwear Apparel Business in 2019 as a cut & sew pilot project, which is now
backed by a modern dye house launched in August 2021. With a dyeing capacity of 10 tons per
day, this dye house brings the fabric dyeing and finishing operations in-house, while the value
added services are expanded to knitting, printing, and embroidery. By Dec 2021, it will become a
fully vertically integrated Knitwear Apparel facility equipped with in-house knitting, dyeing,
cutting, embellishment, and sewing capabilities.
Activewear
Interloop has set up a state-of-the-art vertically integrated Activewear production facility at the
Interloop Industrial Park, with the latest Italian knitting machines having average monthly
production capacity of 345,000 pcs. The latest Japanese machines provide a large variety of
sewing capabilities, as well as a variety of styling from basic to high tech. The Activewear
garments offer 360 stretch with no restricting seams. Interloop offers special synthetic material
range in recycled as well as biodegradable materials, combining durable performance with
sustainability.Body mapping technology builds required construction, meeting the needs of
different body zones without any additional cut & stitch panels involved. The product range
includes active & performance wear, base layers, seamless innerwear, and shape wears for both
men & women. Currently, Interloop is serving seamless active wear business of prestigious
names such as adidas, H&M, Kappa, Reebok, Bebe, Pepe Jeans, Aldi & Kaufland, and
continuously striving to engage more distinguished customers in our portfolio.

Career in interloop
Internships
Working in close liaison with reputed educational institutions and professional universities to
help their students fulfill their degree program requirements, we offer Summer Internship
Program to penultimate and final year students (16 years’ education). The program provides the
opportunity for these students to experience the professional work environment and work on
meaningful assignments under the supervision of domain experts. This 6-8 weeks internship
offered every year from June – August creates a lot of learning for the students and also helps
them figure out career options for the future.
