The Manila Bay area is the main hub


of economic activity in the
Philippines, including shipping,
industry, commerce, fishing,
aquaculture, and tourism. The battle
took place in Manila Bay in the
Philippines, and was the first major
engagement of the Spanish–American
War. The battle was one of the most
decisive naval battles in history and
marked the end of the Spanish
colonial period in Philippine history.
The distance between Tuguegarao to Manila is 446.5 km. There are ways we can get
there, either we ride on a bus or a personal vehicle which takes about 12 hours and the
quickest flight from Tuguegarao Airport to Manila Airport is direct flight which takes 1h
15m.

Corregidor Island is considered as one of the


most historic islands in the Philippines that
played an important role during the liberation
of the Philippines. Strategically located at the
mouth of Manila Bay, it served as one of the
harbor defense of Manila Bay during the
Second World War.

Bataan is a popular road trip destination near Manila. It is rich in natural wonders and a

find the death march of the Filipino and
American soldiers buried, lovely resorts, and
many more. It is definitely a must-visit for a
quick trip from Manila. Just 2-3 hours away
from the metro, you can easily get to Bataan
either by public or private transportation. The
history of this is that three months after the
start of the Battle of Bataan, the Bataan Death
March began, forcing 60,000-80,000 Filipino
and American prisoners of war to march
through the Philippines.
When we go to these historical places, we should keep in mind the right and appropriate
manners to do such as give respect to culture and values of people living in there. We
should avoid littering, abide the rules implied in that place and most of all let us observe
precautionary measurement for our safety.
