ORGANIZATION OF THE LOCAL PRICE COORDINATING COUNCIL

WHEREAS, Rule VI of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act No.
7581 (or otherwise known as the Price Act, as amended by RA 10623) through DTI-DA-DOH-DENR
Joint Administrative Order No. 1 s. 1993 dated February 15, 1993 mandates for the creation of the
Price Coordinating Council at the provincial and municipal or city levels;

NOW THEREFORE, I, KIRK A. ASIS, Mayor of the City of Bayugan, Agusan del Sur, by virtue
of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:

SECTION 1. Organization. The Local Price Coordinating Council (LPCC) of the City
Government of Bayugan, Agusan del Sur is hereby organized as follows:

SECTION 2. Duties and Functions. The Local Price Coordinating Council (LPCC) shall:
a. Coordinate and rationalize the programs to stabilize the prices and supply of basic
necessities and prime commodities under the jurisdiction of the city;
b. Recommend to the National Price Coordinating Council (NPCC) or to the implementing
agencies the Suggested Retail Price (SRP), and/or price ceilings for certain basic or
prime commodities in their respective areas;
c. Conduct in-depth analysis on causes of price fluctuations;
d. Recommend action steps to correct unwarranted price increases and supply shortage;
and
e. Meet every last Monday of the last month of the quarter to discuss matters that involve
the status of price and supply of basic and prime commodities that directly affect to the
consumers. Emergency meeting shall be called when necessary.

SECTION 3. Secretariat. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Agusan del Sur
Provincial Office shall provide the Secretariat to the Council.

SECTION 4. Repealing Clause. All other existing orders or issuances inconsistent with this
Executive Order are hereby revoked and/or rescinded accordingly.

SECTION 5. Effectivity. This Order shall take effect immediately.
