PROJECT PROPOSAL
I. Project Description
A. Brief Summary
The project (4.86km total length) addresses the need for more convenient access
from JNR Curvada (Bayan) to Panay-As to Kinitaan Farm to Market Road. Major
Crops produced such as Rice, Coconut, Abaca and other forest products have
more ease of access to the market and reduced costs of transporting farm goods.
There will also be ease of travelling of residents from Sitio Kinitaan, San Isidro, to
Sitio Panay-As, Bayan to Sitio Curvada, Bayan which is the junction road to the
national highway and vice versa.
The project supports the local government in its push to economic development
in terms of agriculture through expansion of crops production and eco-tourism.
Through this project more landowners and farmer residents will be encouraged
to develop and cultivate their land, venture into other varieties of produce and
livestock farming. Potential Eco-tourism spots be explored and developed in the
said area.
Specific Objectives:
C. Target Beneficiaries
In the implementation of the project, the Municipal Engineering Office will be the
lead Local Government Unit agency to implement the project.
Weather condition and natural calamities are considered as major risk that cause
delay in the implementation. There might be days that the construction
operation would cease due to high intensity of rainfall which leaves the ground
saturated thereby rendering it unsuitable for earthwork operations as well as the
safety and mobility of the construction equipment’s and its operators. This may
cause undue delay or the project duration and completion.
General
Sufficient welfare facilities including cool drinking water, shaded rest areas and
toilets shall be provided in close proximity to the workers. Members of the
construction team will be issued with personal protective equipment (PPE).
Traffic
Barriers and warning signs will be provided as appropriate measure. Barriers will
be used for edge protection, tape will be used as a warning of danger.
All drivers and equipment operators are with proper competent training.
Dust Control
Use all necessary means at the sire under occupation to control dust particles.
Thoroughly moisten all surface as required to prevent dust and nuisance or a
hazard to the residents and properties.
Erosion Control
The work shall consist of procuring, installing and maintaining a slit fence type
sediment barrier in accordance with the technical specification and construction
details, and as shown on the approved erosion, sedimentation and pollution
control plan (ESPC Plans).
