I. Title of the Project : TRAINING ON KABER AND NATIVE CHICKEN

III. Rationale:

Raising caber and native chicken are most progressive animal enterprises
nowadays. It began as the backyard enterprise of most rural farmers which serves as a
main source of meat and eggs.
On the other hand, Masipag Imelda SEA-K Association of barangay Imelda in
the municipality of Bunawan, Agusan del Sur wants to engage in this enterprise since
most of them have already an experience in this type of livelihood. In order to
enhance their knowledge in new ways and technologies of poultry management,
training on Caber and Native Chicken Production is really necessary. This training
will equip the program participants in the selection of quality chicks, feeding system,
breeding, & management, housing facilities, etc.
Furthermore, this training will be a key for the program participants to
continually engage in poultry raising that will surely provide food and additional
income to them and to their families.

IV. Objectives:
A. General Objective: This training activity aims to establish a livelihood on Caber and
Native Chicken Production of Masipag Imelda SEA-K Association and will serves as
income generation project of the group.
B. Specific Objectives: At the end of the training period, the participants should be able
to:
1. Equipped with the ability and confidence in poultry production.
2. Generate income.
3. Provide employment to their members.
4. Make their existing livelihood grow into viable and sustainable enterprises.

V. Brief Description

This is a 2- day activity will be facilitated by the Project Development Officer


assigned in the municipality. There will be lectures, sharing of ideas and actual
demonstration on the livelihood enterprise to be engaged. This activity will be
conducted to 20 participants of barangay Imelda, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur. It will be
expected that at the end of the training, participants will be equipped with the new
ways and technologies in poultry production

VII. Recommendation

Thus, it is important that the aforementioned activity be conducted to achieve


livelihood development and enhancement of knowledge, skills, and abilities of the
beneficiaries. Therefore, recommending for the approval of this activity proposal in
the amount of One hundred seventeen thousand eighty pesos (P 117,080.00) is
essential to cover the expenses of the activity.
