EXPLANATION OF FLOORING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF COMPONENTS FAMILY WITH 1BHK

Procedure for Implementing Components Families:


1. Open a New Project: Launch Revit and create a new project with the desired template, such as
"Architectural Template."
2. Set Units: Go to the "Manage" tab on the Ribbon, click "Project Units," and configure the units for your
project.
3. Create Rooms: In the "Architecture" tab, click on the "Room" tool. Draw rectangular areas to represent
the rooms of your 1BHK unit, such as the bedroom, hall, and kitchen.
4. Add Walls: Select the "Wall" tool from the "Architecture" tab. Draw walls by specifying their start and end
points or by sketching them. Create the walls according to the desired floor plan, considering dimensions
and layout.
5. Place Doors and Windows: Use the "Door" and "Window" tools from the "Architecture" tab to insert
doors and windows into the walls of your floor plan. Choose the appropriate types and sizes for each
element.
6. Define Flooring: In the "Architecture" tab, click on the "Floor" tool. Draw a floor by selecting the
boundaries defined by the walls of each room. Specify the desired thickness, material, and pattern for the
floor. Repeat this step for each room, customizing the flooring material as needed.
7. Insert Components (Furniture): To implement furniture in your 1BHK floor plan, you can utilize
component families available in Revit's library or create your own custom families. To insert furniture
components, follow these steps:
a. Go to the "Architecture" tab and click on the "Component" tool.
b. Browse or search for the desired furniture component family in the library. You can find a variety
of furniture families, such as beds, sofas, tables, and chairs.
c. Select the component family you want to place in your floor plan.
d. Click on the desired location within a room to insert the furniture component.
e. Adjust the size, position, and rotation of the furniture using the tools available in the Modify
Toolbar or the properties in the Properties Palette.
8. Fine-Tune and Modify: Use the Modify Toolbar and Properties Palette to further modify and customize
your floor plan. You can adjust the dimensions, materials, and other parameters of the elements as per
your requirements.
9. Save and Document: Save your project and create views, sections, and sheets to document your design.
Generate construction documents or presentation drawings as needed.

Outcome:
1. The outcome will be a detailed 3D model of the floor plan, which can be used for visualization, coordination, and
construction purposes.
2. Can be generate 2D plans, sections, and elevations from the model and extract quantities and schedules for
material take-offs and cost estimation.

RESULT: Hence flooring and implementation of components family of 1BHK drawn by using in Revit
architecture.
