EXPLANATION OF OPENINGS OF WALLS AND STAIRCASESS WITH 2BHK

Procedure for Creating Openings in Walls and Staircases:

1. Open a New Project: Launch Revit and create a new project with the desired template, such as
"Architectural Template."
2. Set Units: Go to the "Manage" tab on the Ribbon, click "Project Units," and configure the units for your
project.
3. Create Rooms: In the "Architecture" tab, click on the "Room" tool. Draw rectangular areas to represent
the rooms of your 2BHK unit, such as the bedrooms, hall, and kitchen.
4. Add Walls: Select the "Wall" tool from the "Architecture" tab. Draw walls by specifying their start and
end points or by sketching them. Create the walls according to the desired floor plan, considering
dimensions and layout.
5. Insert Doors and Windows: Use the "Door" and "Window" tools from the "Architecture" tab to insert
doors and windows into the walls of your floor plan. Choose the appropriate types and sizes for each
element and place them in the desired locations within the walls.
6. Create Openings in Walls: To create openings within walls for doors or windows, follow these steps:
a. Select the wall in which you want to create an opening.
b. In the Modify Toolbar, click on the "Edit Profile" button.
c. Modify the wall profile by sketching the desired shape of the opening.
d. Complete the sketch and exit the Edit Profile mode.
7. Add Staircases: To add a staircase between different levels of your building model, follow these steps:
 a. Go to the "Architecture" tab and click on the "Stair" tool.
b. Select the desired location for the staircase.
c. Specify the number of steps, riser height, tread depth, and other parameters based on your
design requirements.
d. Adjust the position, size, and shape of the staircase as needed using the Modify Toolbar or the
Properties Palette.
8. Fine-Tune and Modify: Use the Modify Toolbar and Properties Palette to further modify and customize
your floor plan. You can adjust the dimensions, materials, and other parameters of the elements as per
your requirements.
9. Save and Document: Save your project and create views, sections, and sheets to document your design.
Generate construction documents or presentation drawings as needed.

Outcome:
1. The outcome will be a detailed 3D model of the floor plan with accurately placed openings and staircases.
2. This will enable you to visualize the spatial relationships and circulation within the building.
3. Can be generate 2D plans, sections, and elevations from the model and extract quantities and schedules
for material take-offs and cost estimation.
