EXPLANATION OF ROOF TAB AND IMPLEMENTATION COLOURS & TEXTURE WITH 3BHK
ROLL NUMBER: 20KA1A0127 DATE: 21/04/2023
DESIGN DIAGRAM:

Procedure for Implementing Colours and Textures with a 3BHK Floor Plan:
1. Open a New Project: Launch Revit and create a new project with the desired template, such as
"Architectural Template."
2. Set Units: Go to the "Manage" tab on the Ribbon, click "Project Units," and configure the units for your
project.
3. Create Rooms: In the "Architecture" tab, click on the "Room" tool. Draw rectangular areas to represent the
rooms of your 3BHK unit, such as the bedrooms, hall, and kitchen.
4. Add Walls: Select the "Wall" tool from the "Architecture" tab. Draw walls by specifying their start and end
points or by sketching them. Create the walls according to the desired floor plan, considering dimensions
and layout.
5. Place Doors and Windows: Use the "Door" and "Window" tools from the "Architecture" tab to insert doors
and windows into the walls of your floor plan. Choose the appropriate types and sizes for each element.
6. Define Roofs: In the "Architecture" tab, click on the "Roof" tool. Use the available options (e.g., Roof by
Footprint, Roof by Extrusion) to create the roofs for your 3BHK floor plan. Follow the on-screen prompts to
sketch or extrude the roof shapes based on the desired design.
7. Assign Colors and Textures: To implement colors and textures to the elements in your 3BHK floor plan,
follow these steps:
a. Select a roof or any other element (walls, floors, etc.) you want to modify.
b. In the Properties Palette, locate the Material section and click on the "..." button.
c. In the Material Browser, you can choose from a range of predefined materials or create custom
materials.
d. Select a material and adjust its properties, such as color, reflectivity, transparency, or assign a
texture image to it.
e. Apply the material to the selected element, and the color and texture will be assigned accordingly.
8. Fine-Tune and Modify: Use the Modify Toolbar and Properties Palette to further modify and customize
your floor plan. You can adjust the dimensions, materials, colors, and textures of the elements as per your
requirements.
9. Save and Document: Save your project and create views, sections, and sheets to document your design.
Generate construction documents or presentation drawings as needed.

Outcome:
1. The outcome will be a detailed 3D model of the floor plan with visually appealing materials, colors, and
textures.
2. This will enhance the realism and visual representation of your design, making it easier to communicate
and present your ideas to clients or stakeholders.
3. Can be generate 2D plans, sections, and elevations from the model and extract quantities and schedules
for material take-offs and cost estimation.

RESULT: Hence implementation colours & texture with 3bhk drawn by using in Revit architecture
