RESOLUTION NO. 005-2023

RESOLUTION AUTHORING THE MUNICIPAL TREASURER`S OFFICE TO COLLECT FEES FOR THE
PURPOSE OF ACQUIRING BUSINESS PERMIT OR LOCATION CLEARANCE IN THE BARANGAY

WHEREAS, the EODB Act of 2018 or Republic Act 11032, otherwise known as “ An Act
Promoting Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Delivery of Government Services, Amending for
the Purpose of Republic Act N0. 9485’’ was duly enacted;

WHEREAS, the Barangay recognizes the need of efficient and streamlined processes in
acquiring business permits and location clearance to promote local economic development and
ensure compliance with local regulations;

WHEREAS, the Municipal Treasurer`s Office possesses the necessary infrastructure, expertise,
and resources to handle fee collection effectively and efficient;

WHEREAS, centralizing the fee collection process under the Municipal Treasurer`s office will
ensure transparency, accountability, and proper documentation;

WHEREAS, empowering the Municipal Treasurer`s Office to collect fees for business permits
and locational clearances will provide convenience and accessibility to entrepreneurs and
business owners in the Barangay;

WHEREAS, The Municipal Treasurer`s Office is hereby authorized to collect fees for the purpose
of acquiring business permits and locational clearance within the Barangay, following the
existing fee structure established by the municipality.

WHEREAS, The Municipal Treasurer`s Office shall provide regular reports to the Barangay
Council, including details on the fees collected, the number or permits and clearance issued,
and the amount of revenue generated within the Barangay.

WHEREAS, The Municipal Treasurer`s office shall implement appropriate measure to maintain
the confidentiality and security of all financial transactions and personal information related to
the fee collection process.

WHEREAS, The Barangay council directs the Municipal Treasurer`s Office to conduct public
information campaigns to inform and educate the Barangay residents and business owners
regarding the new fee collection process and its associated benefits.
WHEREFORE, on unanimous sponsorship, this body

BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE SANGGUNIANG Barangay of Maligaya, Authorizing the Municipal

Treasurer`s Office to collect Fees for the Purpose of Acquiring Business Permit or Locational
Clearance in the Barangay Maligaya, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat.

RESOLVED FINALLY, copies of this resolution be furnished to the Municipal Treasurer`s Office
and the Sangguniang Bayan for their information and guidance.
