Job title: Financial Analyst-Research and Insights

The title will initially be indicated in the Offer Letter provided by P&G after selecting the
candidate. In the course of the employment with the Company, he/she shall perform such
duties and responsibilities as the Company may delegate, modify or alter from time to time.
The Company may make changes to job title, or assign the person to a different position in
accordance with the requirements of the Company, but will give reasonable notice before doing
so.He/she must perform any duties assigned as long as they are consistent with the job title.

Qualifications and Experience


● 0-3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
● High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
● Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
● BA, BS, or B.Com degree required (Bachelor’s Degree in
Accounting/Finance/Economics)
● Strong analytical and data gathering skills
● Good business acumen
Personality and Interpersonal Skills
● Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
● Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
● Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently
● Experience working with, and presenting to, senior executives

Responsibilities and Duties
● Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
● Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
● Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
● Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make
recommendations for improvements
● Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
● Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans
and forecasts
● Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and
procedures
● Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
● Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative
analyses; study proposed changes in methods and materials
● Perform market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps

Reporting relationships
● The reporting relationship is based on the hierarchy of the job and flows from
downward to upward in the job hierarchy.
● The Analyst reports to Senior Analyst who further reports to the Associate and then to
Senior Associate.
● The Analyst has to perform his/her day to day duties which is under the supervision of
Senior Analyst.
● In case of emergency,the reporting can be done to the Associate.
● The request for any leave must be approved by Senior Associate and be communicated
to the HR department.
● Any external presentation or dealing must be communicated to the Senior Associate.

Major challenges
● The major challenge that the job faces is technology, which is replacing the traditional
accounting functions and the need to learn new skills in this dynamic environment is
undeniable.
● As the candidate started the job during Covid-19 lockdown, the major challenge is to
cope with the timings as it stretches to midnight and constant working over the laptop
makes it more cumbersome and stressful.
● The role requires analysing large chunks of data and working over this makes work
monotonous leading to duplicated efforts and waste of human resources.
