- Classified maintenance into two main categories: Preventive and Corrective Maintenances
Public
- Directed Operations Teams to carry out their main job to make their inspections on machinery &equipment
to determine whether the operation is correct or not; once incorrect operation is witnessed, then maintenance
- Hydraulic, Transformer and Lube Oils are periodically inspected for their NAS Number based on which oil
- established workshop facility to provide the plant with the following services:
o Portable Oil Filtration Skid with NAS Device to periodically check and keep oils in acceptable
condition
o Electrical Instruments Calibration and Test Bench using Calibration Pump (Fluke 718 30G)
- Evaluated the performance of the QMS application and determined non-conformities; mandated corrective
actions
- trained and prepared staff for O&M of the Air Separation Plant and Compressed Air Plant
- troubleshot any machinery malfunction that would interrupt the production service.
- determined what to make available as spare parts so that the production service wont halt unexpectedly.
- carried out overhaul maintenance on GTK056L3K1 Atlas Copco Six Stages Air Compressor
- carried out overhaul maintenance on SIAD Reciprocating Nitrogen and Argon Compressors
Public
- carried out reactive and proactive maintenances on PIEL 4.5 Hydrogen Generator.
- carried out breakdown maintenance on Liquid Oxygen Reciprocating Submersible High Pressure Pump
- brought forth professional work order to perform any later-on-traceable maintenance activity safely.
- followed up preventive maintenance strictly throughout the Compressed Air Plant and Air Separation Plant
where there a variety of different engineering applications such as compressors, pumps and turbines that
- used liquid nitrogen in the installation of bearings and reciprocating compressor casing liner.
- studied the operation behaviors of machinery throughout the Air Separation Plant.
- -observed the corrosion spots in the Air Separation Plant and tried to find out the reasons of their
occurrences by determining their types and then tried to prevent any corrosion spots from happening.
- Taught my co-workers how to safely and correctly start/stop the machinery in the unit
- Established Annual Oxygen Cylinder Inspection Practice to determine the serviceability of the cylinder
- Conducted risk assessment for the Air Separation Unit and determined and the risks coming along in
- prepared Material Safety Data Sheet for cryogenic liquids of oxygen and argon for safe handling.
- Performed periodically technical evaluations of potential suppliers of machinery and equipment and
providing on-site and off-site engineering services with the scope and formulations of Company`s policies.
- Taught my co-workers how to safely and correctly operate machinery in the unit
- carried out preventive and corrective maintenance for machinery and equipment
Public
- Planned all maintenance activities according to maintenance policies
power plant including switch yard, GTs and transformers and also electrical control building; BOP and its
related departments. I have been trained by companies such as GE, BiLFINGER, EGA,Siemens and ENKA.
- learned what the auxiliary equipment we have and their working principles are.
- learned what each gas turbine compartments are composed of and what their working principles are.
-Endeavored to know how cement plant works from engineering standpoint of view.
ACADEMIC RESEARCH
Public
- Found out how much heat is lost and/or gained to/from the ambient across the four different seasons by the
Presidential Building at the American University of Iraq-Sulaimani and also how much heat is added by the
residents of the building as humans is seen as heaters; they dissipate heat. The building was insulated
against the surrounding atmosphere with concrete walls and windows where I had find out the areas of
contact and then how much heat is lost or gained through such areas. The amount of chilled water or hot
water circulation flow rate we need to provide the building with so that the temperature inside is always kept
within the range of 20 to 25 degree Celsius which is seen as comforting temperature for humans to live
within.
- Conducted a one-year-long-period academic research on how to design for an oil well casing.
- Understood the frequently faced problems that are due to tension, collapse and burst.
- Having used four different well-known references, we could find a way to describe the failures and design
according to the zones they happen to exist.
