CRISPR, which stands for Central Research Initiative and Students
Public Relations platform, embarked on a mission to transform
their college's cultural, technical, and interpersonal DNA through
the establishment of an innovative and collaborative community.
Inspired by the scientific CRISPR machine that edits DNA on an
atomic scale, this initiative aims to shape the college's cultural
DNA positively. By fostering strong relationships and nurturing new
ideas, CRISPR strives to create an environment where intellectuals
can collaborate, innovate, and contribute to the betterment of the
IIITN community as a whole.

Mission
We are dedicated in creating a vibrant and welcoming
community where students can come together to pursue their
interests. Through our commitment to CRISPR, we are making a
positive impact on our college campus and beyond. We believe
that by working together, we can achieve great things and
create a lasting legacy that will inspire future generations of the

Works @ CRISPR
FTP Server
The college FTP server is a valuable resource for students, providing
access to a wide range of academic materials. One of its key features
is the extensive collection of previous year academic question banks.
Additionally, the server has courses on various domains, such as web
development, Android app development, and competitive coding.
These courses enable students to enhance their skills and gain
practical knowledge in these sought-after fields.

Blog Engine
CRISPR has always prioritized the importance of expressing one’s
ideas at a massive scale and thus envisioned a blog engine to be
hosted on the CRISPR’s FTP server. It always welcomed people with
rational thinking and tried to incorporate everyone’s ideology at
CRISPR. Over time, a student's blog can serve as a portfolio of their
work. They can showcase their writing, research, and creative projects
to potential employers and internship providers.

Morphosis
Morphosis is a comprehensive and informative Wikipedia page
dedicated to our esteemed Indian Institute of Information Technology,
Nagpur. It serves as a valuable resource for students aspiring to excel
academically and navigate their college journey effectively. The "How
to Ace" section features insightful interviews with senior students,
offering strategies and tips for academic success. Additionally, visitors
can explore a curated list of popular eateries, cafes, and restaurants in
Nagpur. Students can find details about the diverse range of clubs
available in our college, allowing them to explore their interests and
engage in extracurricular activities.

Enduring through a journey of our lives we learned that skills fetch

us employment not just schooling, keeping the spirits of students
high and providing them with excellent skill development and
growth opportunities PMKVY Skill India Initiative Iand IIIT Nagpur
came with "Drone Manufacturing and Assembly Technician"
workshop having a tenure of 2 months to expose them to a vast
sector that drone manufacturing is.

Beginning with the first

orientation session on
September 18th, Mayur Parate
Sir and Rahul Dongardive Sir
introduced the students with the
applications of Drone Tech, this
technology has a growing
potential in medical industry, delivery, transportation, emergency
services, and cinematography .it provides those with right skills a
great opportunity to put right efforts into startups or fetching a
good job
The programme has received great attention from students of all
years especially those in IOTICS department, initially beginning
with participants from higher semesters in earlier batches it will
be expanded for first year students as well.
The workshop beginning from mid September had a humble start,
workshop since then has been consistently conducted from 4-6
pm, 5 days a week early practicals included working on single
pull models while the participants eventually upgraded to
preparing dual and quadruple wings. Wirelessly controlled flights
have been achieved successfully with a great enthusiasm from
each group, regular theory and workshop sessions have ensured
skill development for all.
The workshop will continue till November
so scope for future project ideas is
extensive. Participants are working on
developing creative and efficient projects
such as Drones embedded with GPS to
enable automatic backtracking, with many
working on enabling AIML systems with
IOTICS.

To put a perspective, the field of Drone Manufacturing has a huge

array of possibilities, workshops like such provide a platform for
one to explore how they can contribute to such industries as an
individual or maybe as a part of a community. Final verdict of this
program is yet awaited however we all hope that it would bring
some momentous change in each and every participant's life..
 Voting Through Blockchain
Technology?

countries like India are made
possible through a centralized
body that is Election
Commission of India. Fairness,
transparency and legitimacy is
necessary for the will of
electorates to be implemented.
Introducing new electronic voting technologies can boost turnout and
rekindle interest and trust in the electoral system.

A recent study revealed that the traditional voting process was not wholly
hygienic, posing several questions, including fairness, equality, and people’s
will, was not adequately quantified and understood in the form of
government. The voting protocols are being handled by a single authority,
which may lead to erroneous selections because of their dishonesty. A
decentralized network may circumvent such central authority.

So what is blockchain technology? The first thing that comes to our mind is
bitcoin. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency which is based on blockchain data
structure. Blockchain creates a chain of blocks which are copied on each
peer on the decentralized peer to peer network. A block contains a
cryptographic hash which is like a fingerprint which basically is used to
uniquely identify a block, the data to be stored and the hash of the previous
block in the chain.If the data in the block is to be changed then the hash of
the block will change, so the hashes of the linked blocks will have to be
recalculated which is quite noticeable.
Blockchains are managed and run by a network of
computers rather than a centralized authority.
Transactions are reached through consensus algorithms
which are fault tolerant in presence of malicious actors.
Nodes are moderators that build infrastructure of the
network and they maintain ledger’s consensus. Miners
are the nodes which validate the transactions and add
that block into the blockchain system.

Blockchain architecture has many benefits (these are just theoretical) :

Cryptography: It provides data security and credibility for users to maintain
data on the web.
Immutability: Any blockchain ledger cannot be changed or deleted.
Provenance: Every transaction can be tracked in ledger.
Decentralization: Every blockchain member has access to the blockchain
database.
Anonymity: Users are assigned addresses to identify them, therefore, their
real identity is not revealed

If this technology is used properly, the blockchain should be digital,

decentralized,encrypted and the ledgers should be transparent which can
withstand manipulation and tampering.Currently available blockchain based
systems have scalability issues. It is insufficient to increase the block size or
lower block time by lowering its hash complexity. By each approach scaling
capability hits a limit before completing transactions. Research released by
Tata Comms. Has shown that 44% of companies using blockchain according
to their survey faces issues arising from the use of this technology.Blockchains
utilize pseudonyms for users therefore complete privacy and secrecy cannot
be obtained as transactions are made public. Moreover energy efficient
consensus methods are required for blockchain based electronic voting.
Further research is required to be taken care of.

On a sunny November day, a group of hikers embarked on a journey

to Seven Sister's Hill. The excitement was palpable as they boarded
the bus, eager to explore the lush forest and take in the stunning
views from the summit.

The bus journey was a great opportunity for

seniors and juniors to interact and get to know
each other better. The bus was filled with
laughter and chatter as the hikers shared
stories and exchanged jokes. They also sang
songs and played games, which helped to
pass the time. The bus journey also provided
the hikers with a chance to admire the
beautiful scenery. The bus wound its way
through lush forests and rolling hills, offering
stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

The hike began at a leisurely pace, winding through

the forest. The hikers chatted and laughed, enjoying
the camaraderie and the beauty of nature. As the
trail gradually ascended, the hikers paused
frequently to admire the scenery and snap photos.
Just before the summit, the group stopped at a temple dedicated to
the Seven Sisters: Ambai, Nimbai, Muktai, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Mahakali,
and Durga. The hikers paid their respects at the temple and prayed for
a safe and enjoyable trek.

But as they approached the summit, the

atmosphere changed. A swarm of bees emerged
from a nearby hive and attacked the group. The
hikers were caught completely off guard. Half of
the group managed to run downhill for safety, but
the others were not so lucky. They were trapped
on the trail, surrounded by the swarm. They were
stung repeatedly, some as many as dozens of
times. Three of the hikers were so severely stung
that they had to be admitted to the hospital. The
others were treated at the trailhead and released.

The view from the top was breathtaking. The hikers could see for miles
in every direction, with lush forests and rolling hills stretching out
before them. The hills surrounding Seven Sisters themselves were a
sight to behold, with their towering mounds rising above the
surrounding landscape.

Despite the setback, the group still had a memorable

experience on the Seven Sister's Hill trek. The
scenery was breathtaking, and they enjoyed
spending time together in nature.
The Seven Sister's Hill trek was still a fun and
memorable adventure. The group learned
a lot about themselves and each other,
and they made memories that will
last a lifetime.
