mcc panel
A motor control center (MCC) is an assembly of one or
more enclosed sections having a common power bus and
principally containing motor control units. Motor control
centers are in modern practice a factory assembly of
several motor starters. A motor control center can include
variable frequency drives, programmable controllers, and
metering and may also be the electrical service entrance
for the building Main components of MCC Panels are
1. MCCB
2. MCB
3. Contactors
4. Relays
5. MPCB
PCC PANEL
LT PANEL (PCC PANEL):PCC Panel full form is Power control center. A power control center (PCC)
is an assembly of one or more enclosed sections having a common power bus and principally
containing ACB/MCCB's. Main supply of the MCC/System is taken from PCC. PCC acts as a
gateway for electrical line. Main Components of PCC Panels are as below.
1. MCB
2. MCCB
3. Energy Meter
4. Busbar
5. Indication Lamps
6. Push Buttons etc.

Electrical equipment
Contactor

Contactors typically have multiple Contacts, and those

contacts are usually ( But Not Always) normally –open,
So that power to the load is shut off when the coil is de-
energized.
In the selection of contactors for cage electric motors, the
available motor power, current operating condition, current
ambient temperature, motor operating current and
environmental condition
MCB

Miniature Circuit Breaker

MCB is an automatically operated electrical
switch. Miniature circuit breakers are intended
to prevent damage to an electrical circuit as a
result of excess current. They are designed to
trip during an overload or short circuit to
protect against electrical faults and equipment
failure
MPCB

Motor Protection Circuit Breaker

MPCB is used to manually turn ON/ OFF an
electric motor and to provide protection to the
motor in case of fault. MCCB/ MCB is used for
switching and protection of distribution
circuits and electric motors. Design purpose
MPCB is mainly designed to protect an electric
motor from faults.
MCCB

Molded Case Circuit Breaker

It is another type of electrical protection
device which is used when load current
exceeds the limit of a miniature circuit breaker.
The MCCB provides protection against
overload, short circuit faults and is also used
for switching the circuit
RCCB

Residual Current Circuit Breaker

RCCB is also known as RCB or RCD. RCD stands
for Residual Current Device, while RCB stands
for Residual Current Breaker. RCCB is an
electrical wiring device that disconnects the
circuit as soon as it detects a current leak to
the earth wire.
VFD

Variable Frequency Drive

A VFD is a electrical device that controls the
speed of an electric motor by varying its input
voltage. VFDs are used to control pumps, fans,
conveyor belts and other types of machinery
in industrial plants
PLC

Programmable Logic Controller

As the name suggests, it refers to a
programmable computing device used to
manage electromechanical processes
RELAY (SINGLE CHANGE OVER )

A changeover relay is an electromechanical

device used to switch between two circuits or
signal sources. It typically has multiple sets of
contacts, allowing it to connect one circuit
while disconnecting another.
A changeover relay is an electromechanical
device used to switch between two circuits or
signal sources. It typically has multiple sets of
contacts, allowing it to connect one circuit
while disconnecting another.
RELAY (FOUR CHANGE OVER)
A 4 changeover relay, also known as a 4PDT (4-Pole
Double Throw) relay, is a type of electromechanical
switch that features four sets of contacts, each
capable of switching between two circuits.
This indicates the number of sets of contacts in the
relay. In this case, there are four sets.
Changeover: Refers to the type of contacts in the
relay that can switch between two circuits. Each set of
contacts typically includes a normally open (NO)
contact, a normally closed (NC) contact, and a
common contact, allowing the circuit to switch
between two states.
Relay: An electromechanical device used to control
the flow of electricity in a circuit.
CHOCK

An AC choke, also known as an alternating

current choke or simply an inductor, is an
electrical component used in circuits to control
the flow of alternating current (AC).

AC chokes are commonly used in various

applications such as power supplies, motor
control circuits, and electronic filters to
regulate current, reduce noise, and improve
efficiency.
PID CONTROLLER

Proportional-Integral-Derivative controller
control system used in various industrial
processes to regulate and control the behavior
of dynamic systems
The controller calculates the control output by
summing the contributions from the
proportional, integral, and derivative terms,
each of which is weighted by specific
coefficients
PSU

SMPSs are widely used in various electronic

devices and applications due to their compact
size, high efficiency, and versatility. Here's
some key information about SMPS:
Ethernet switch

An Ethernet switch is a networking device that

connects multiple devices within a local area
network (LAN) and forwards data packets
between them based on the destination MAC
addresses in the packets
