RE: ADMISSION INTO THE UNIVERSITY 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR


Congratulations on your KCSE performance and admission to Rongo University. I am pleased to
offer you a place in the School of Education to pursue a programme leading to the degree of
Bachelor of Education (Arts) as a Government Sponsored Student which will commence on 26th
August, 2024.

This offer is based on your placement by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement
Service and is subject to verification of your by the University. The offer is also subject to the
following conditions:

1. Your acceptance to pay the required university fees (fees structure for GSSP students is available
on the University website. www.rongovarsity.ac.ke).
2. Production of original KCSE result slip, birth certificate or national ID card on the day of
registrations for verification purposes.
3. Your acceptance to adhere to:
- Rules and Regulations Governing the Conduct and Discipline of students of Rongo University
(available on the University website)
- Common Rules and Regulations for University Examinations of Rongo University

Following your placement in Rongo University, you are eligible to apply for a Government
scholarship, loan and bursary to assist you with your educational expenses. If you require
Government financial support, you MUST make an application for consideration through the
official scholarship and loan application portal www.hef.co.ke. Please note that all applicants are
categorized into bands with varying rates for scholarship, loan and a portion of family support. You
are urged to apply early to know your band in good time. You are expected to clear your family
financial portion of the tuition fee before registration through e-payment link available in your
student portal. Please follow the steps available on the fee structures to make fee payments.
Please note that should the Government scholarship, loan and bursary not be sufficient to cover the
entire cost of your programme, the remaining fee balance will be the responsibility of your
parent/guardian/sponsor. Likewise, those who shall not have applied for government financial or
missed the support will be required to pay the full University fees as per the fee structure.

Please note that you will be required to have a laptop or smart phone for your studies.

Students who require accommodation in the Hostels should complete FORM/HC/016-1 (available
on University website). Please note that payment for University accommodation shall be done at the
University premises on the reporting date (Equity Bank - 1430270413535 ). The University does
not guarantee accommodation in the Hostels as it shall be availed on first come first served basis.
Students who do not wish to reside within the University are required to fill the non-resident form
and make personal accommodation arrangements with the private accommodation facilities around
the University.

If you accept admission under these conditions, indicate acceptance by signing the enclosed
FORM/ASA/020-4 (Part A), FORM/ASA/020-5, FORM/ASA/020-36 and FORM/HS/017-1. If you
are unable to accept this offer complete FORM/ASA/020-4 (Part B) and submit to the University
before the opening date.
