ABOUT
Student Management application is really useful in this current generation to
maintain their academic process. It helps students to track their attendance reports and able
to download files and e-bill for fees payment. Despite mandatory features it also has good
security for privacy and personal information. Easy to communicate with staff and able to
report issues digitally. Reduces formal documents and time constrains, able to access
information about academics and others.
IDEA
Attendance Report: Weekly attendance reports for academic months, to help tracking their
attendance by themselves
Schedules: Aware of upcoming schedules and other activities done by college/School
Results & Placements: Able to download old results and looking for placements as per the
grades obtained by particulars
Payments: Digital payment for fees and other funds done by application, receiving E-bill for
the payments and making sure they able to download the E-bill at anytime
Notes: Uploading daily class notes will be useful for those missed classes on some subjects
Reporting: Reducing students time for Informing leave / OD through application instead of
formal letters, also able to submit documents for the proof of leave / OD
Accessibility: To keep things simple and easy to access all features for the required needs

PROBLEMS!
Information: Most of the students are not aware of their academic progress and missing out
so many information about themselves
Time constrains: Teachers are not ready to teach the same topic of lessons because of time
constrain to complete the syllabus, which affects students results
Bills and hall tickets: Students are often lost their fees payment bills and hall tickets
Records: Maintaining and storing students records taking space in office also chances of
missing documents are very often.
Attendance: Mistakes are happened while uploading on application if need to change that
we required to inform admin about that.
SOLUTIONS
We find these issues were faced by most of the students. To reduce these problems,
we have added additional features and able to report through our application. We mainly
focused to convert formal methods into digital to improve accessibility and time
management. This application will be helpful for both existing users and non-users.

DISCOVERY AND RESEARCH
Qualitative Research
In this interview, I met various people and conducted face to face interview in public
places. I enquired about the problems faced by the students while using their existing
application, also asked the difficulties of not using the application. Their responses were
really helpful for me to collect data for this application.
Quantitative Research

users and non-users.

website for the student management, it is only used for the
basic things such as exam timetable/results and attendance

Pain points:
• He doesn’t have online fee payment option, also unable to track his upcoming
schedules
• The student portal takes too much traffic while checking for exam results
• Missed classes notes are not available for him
Goals:
• He wanted to add a feature which upload the notes of daily classes so that he can
able to catch up his missed classes.
• He likes to add a feature where some document process can be done by digitally, like
when he needs to report for his upcoming leave or other queries which requires to
submit written statement and also it takes too much time to get response so if it can
be done by digital system then it’ll be useful for him

He is a CBSE School student, he is using a student
management application called CIALFO, it also has separate
application for parents and teachers. The CIALFO application is
really useful for him which contains many features that every
student needs.
Pain points:
• The school fee should be paid by digital payment rather his parents visiting the
school and also get a e-bill for their payment
• He like to have a feature where he can able to know about college universities
• Communicating with his staff or reports his leave should be done by the applications
