A school learning action cell was held at Binalbagan Elementary School. The
meeting started at exactly 8 a.m.

Topics:
a.) Numeracy Skills
b.) Activities that can enhance the numeracy skills of learners.

Minutes:
It was discussed in the meeting that the numeracy skills of learners are essential. To
improve the teacher’s ability and strategies, Ma’am Gencel Ann Lazarte discussed what
numeracy is and shared her thoughts on how important it is to know the 4 basic operations in
Mathematics and how it is used in our everyday lives.

Ma’am Marnelle Ucag taught us different kinds of activities to enhance and improve the
skills and abilities of our pupils. Activities like Math Bingo, Paper Plate Clock, Guess the
weight, Pizza Fractions, Wiggle to 100, Place value Pickup Sticks, and other interesting
activities will help our learners learn and enjoy. She also let the teachers play and enjoy the said
activities.

The meeting adjourned at exactly 5 p.m.

A school learning action cell was held at Amontay Elementary School. The meeting
started at exactly 8 a.m.

Topics:
a.) Literacy Skills
b.) Activities that can enhance the literacy skills of learners.

Minutes:
Literacy is the ability to read, write, speak, and listen in a way that lets us communicate
effectively and make sense of the world. One of our main goals is to help our learners to read
from basic sight words to difficult words, to read a sentence and to comprehend.

In our meeting, Ma’am Kimberly R. Abrigo, Grade 2 adviser and an English teacher-
leader discussed the importance of literacy and how it is useful for our learners to learn basic
sight words. We also learned the different activities that will help our learners read, write, speak,
and listen. Activities like talking, singing, reading, storytelling, drawing, and writing help to
develop literacy.

The meeting adjourned at exactly 11:30 in the morning.
