Gratitude and Affirmation
Sometimes, it can be hard to think of ways to express gratitude and
affirmation. Here is a list to get you started!
• “Thank you for ____ today.” (Fill in the blank with something
specific.)
• “I am really proud of you for _____.” (Fill in the blank. Be
specific.)”
• “I really appreciate how good you are at ________.” (Mention a
virtue, strength, or skill that they have.)
• “I really appreciate that you ____ for me.” (Fill in with
something specific that they contribute to your life.)
• “I am inspired by how you __________.”
• “I’m really impressed at how you _______.”
• “Your _______________ is really attractive to me.” (Could be an
inner virtue or an outward physical attribute!)
• “I like how you __________________.”
• “You’re always so good at ____________.”
• You handled _________________so well!”

EXTRA CREDIT
• Bring your husband or wife their favorite drink when you tell
them any of these things. Or add a kiss and a hug.
• Add these magic words right after any of the suggestions
above: “What can I do for you today to make your day better?”
