33.17 Works shall be allowed in piece meal with Item LS
pre-approval and permission. Shut down water
flow for approved part of network, Chamber
and/or plot connection, divert the flow via
temporary connections (By-pass)
to keep the network in continuous operation all
time with same flow and pressure.
SECTION 03 30 00 - CAST-IN-PLACE CONCRETE
RC VALVE CHAMBERS:-
Construct the reinforced concrete valve chambers
as per MEW specifications, as rate for concrete
shall include for reinforcement and all necessary
formwork, allow for excavation to required depth ,
backfilling and compaction., blinding concrete
B15, reinforced concrete B35, high tensile
deformed reinforcement bars, ductile iron covers
and frames, Aluminium surface box (200mm high,
160mm dia. clear opening, including rod
connection between lid & box, plate for guiding
valve spindle and aluminium dust cap), 150x150
mm bronze indicator plate, 150x150mm bronze
owner indicator plate, aluminium access ladder
(except for air release valve boxes), ventilation
pipes top unit and bottom extension with hot
cured polyester powder coating, Internal Epoxy
Coating, horizontal & vertical tanking (water
proofing membrane with wrapping protection),
external epoxy coating with UV resist for cover
slab,all as specified and as shown on drawings or
instructed by the Engineer, allow for extra
excavation, backfill, labour, plant, material and
related works.

SECTION 21 05 23 - GENERAL DUTY VALVES

FOR FIRE PROTECTION PIPING
GATE/ BUTTERFLY VALVES:
Isolation Valve (Butterfly Valve) on the new pipe
network including connection with D.I pipes, D.I
wall pieces, necessary fitting, accessories,
Isolation valves in main lines shall be provided with
SCADA devices, dismantle pieces and adaptors and
all incidental works to complete as specified and
shown on the drawing :
