To Increase in For Beneficial Knowledge For Inner Peace & Ease
Knowledge
ً َ ً ْ َ ُ َ ْ َ ْ ّ َّ ُ ّٰ َ ْ ْ َ ْ َ ْ ّ َ
ًْ ْ ْ ّ َ
، ‫يِّن أسألك عِلما ناف ِعا‬ ِ ِ ‫اللهم إ‬ ، ‫ارْشح ِ ْيِل صد ِري‬ ‫ر ِب‬
ً َّ َ َ ُ ً َ َ ًّ َ ًْ َ
‫يِن عِلما‬
ِ ‫ر ِب ِزد‬ ْ ْ ْ ِ ّ َ ‫َوي‬
‫ َوعماًل متقباًل‬، ‫َو ِرزقا طيِبا‬ ‫رِّس ِ ْيِل أم ِري‬

Rabbi zidnī ʿilmā. Allāhumma innī as’aluka ʿilma-n-nāfiʿā, wa rizqan Rabbi-sh-shraḥ lī ṣadrī. Wa yassir lī amrī.
ṭayyibā, wa ʿamalam-mutaqabbalā.

My Lord, increase me in knowledge. O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, My Lord, put my heart at peace for me, and
wholesome sustenance, and deeds which are make my task easy for me.
(20:114)
accepted. (Ibn Mājah) (20:25-26)

For Difficult Times Grief and Anxiety

َ َ َ ْ ُ َ ْ َ ٓ َّ َ ٰ ٓ َ ْ َْ َ ْ ُّ ُ َّ َ ٰ َ ُ ْ َ ْ ُ ْ َ ْ ُ َّ َ ٰ َ
ْ ِّ ‫ك إ‬
‫يِّن‬ ، ‫اهلل َرب الع ْر ِش الع ِظي ِم‬ ‫ اَل إِهٰل إِاَّل‬، ‫اَل إِهٰل إِاَّل اهلل الع ِظيم احْللِيم‬
ِ ‫اَل إِهٰل إِاَّل أنت سبحان‬
َّ َ ُ ْ ُ
َ ْ ‫الظالِم‬ ْ َ ْ ْ َ ْ ُّ َ َ ْ َ ْ ُّ َ َ ٰ ٰ َّ ُّ َ ُ َّ َ ٰ َ
‫نْي‬ ِ ‫كنت مِن‬ ‫ت ورب اأْلر ِض ورب العر ِش الك ِري ِم‬ ِ ‫اَل إِهٰل إِاَّل اهلل رب السمـو‬
Lā ilāha illā Anta subḥānaka innī kuntu Lā ilāha illā-llāhu-l-ʿĀẓīmu-l-Ḥalīm, lā ilāha illā-llāhu Rabbu-l-ʿĀrshi-l-ʿAẓīm,
lā ilāha illā-llāhu Rabbu-s-samāwāti wa Rabbu-l-arḍi wa Rabbu-l-ʿĀrshi-l-karīm.
mina-ẓ-ẓālimīn.

There is no god worthy of worship except You; There is no god worthy of worship but Allah, the Supreme, The Forbearing. There is no god
You are free from all imperfection. Indeed, I worthy of worship but Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. There is no god worthy of
have been of the wrongdoers. (21:87) worship but Allah, Lord of the heavens, Lord of the earth, Lord of the Noble Throne. (Bukhārī)

Protect Yourself From Anxiety, Laziness, Debt When One is Distressed

َ َ ْ ْ َْ َ ُ ُ َ َ ْ ‫ك م َِن ال ْ َه ِ ّم َو‬َ ُ ْ ُ َ ْ ّ َّ ُ ّٰ َ ْ ِ ‫ىَل َن ْف‬ َ ْ َ َ َ ْ ُ ْ َ َ َ َ ْ َ َّ ُ ّٰ َ

،‫ َوأع ْوذ بِك م َِن العج ِز َوالكس ِل‬، ‫احْل َز ِن‬ ِ ‫اللهم إ ِ ِيِّن أعوذ ب‬ ‫يِس‬ ْ ِ ‫كل‬
ٰ ِ ‫يِن إ‬ ِ ‫اللهم رمْحتك أرجو فاَل ت‬
َ ّ ْ َ َ ْ َّ َ َ َ ْ َ ُ ْ ُ َ ْ ُ ْ َ ْ ُ َ َ ُ ْ ُ َ َ
َ ْ َ ْ َّ ٰ َ ُ َّ ُ ْ ْ َ ْ ْ ْ َ َ ْ َ َ َ ْ َ
َ
‫يِن لُكه اَل إِهٰلَ إِاَّل أنت‬
ِ ‫الر‬
‫ال‬ ‫ج‬ ِ ‫ وأعوذ بِك مِن غلب ِة ادلي ِن وقه ِر‬، ‫نْب وابْلخ ِل‬ ِ ‫وأعوذ بِك مِن اجْل‬ ِ ‫ وأصلِح ِيِل شأ‬، ‫نْي‬
ٍ ‫طرفة ع‬
Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika min-l-hammi wa-l-ḥazan, wa aʿūdhu bika min-l-ʿajzi wa-l-kasal, wa Allāhumma raḥmataka arjū fa-lā takilnī ilā nafsī ṭarfata
aʿūdhu bika min-l-jubni wa-l-bukhl, wa aʿūdhu bika min ghalabati-d-dayni wa qahri-r-rijāl. ʿayn, wa aṣliḥ lī sha’nī kullah lā ilāha illā Ant.

O Allah, I seek Your protection from anxiety and grief. I seek Your protection from inability O Allah! Your Mercy is what I hope for so do not entrust me
and laziness. I seek Your protection from cowardice and miserliness, and I seek Your to myself for the blink of an eye and rectify all of my affairs.
protection from being overcome by debt and being overpowered by men.” (Abū Dāwūd) There is no god worthy of worship but You. (Abu Dāwud)

When One is in a Difficult Situation When Overwhelmed with Entrust All Your Matters to Allah
Difficulties
ً ْ َ ُ َ ْ َ َ َ َّ َ ْ َ َ ُ ّٰ َ ْ ْ َ ُ ْ َ ْ َ َ َ ْ ُ ُّ َ َ ُّ َ َ
، ‫الله َّم اَل سهل إِاَّل ما جعلته سهاًل‬ ُْ ْ ْ ُ َ ْ َ ‫ أصلِح ِ ْيِل‬، ‫ ب ِ َرمْحتِك أست ِغيث‬، ‫يَح يا قي ْوم‬ ‫يا‬
ً ْ َ َ ْ َ َ َْ ُ َ ْ َ َ ْ ََ ‫اهلل َون ِع َم ال َوك ِيل‬ ‫حس ِيِب‬ َْ ََْ َ ْ َْ ٰ ْ َ ْ َ َ َّ
ُ ُ ْ َ ْ
‫احْل ْزن إِذا ِشئت سهاًل‬ ‫وأنت جَتعل‬ ٍ ‫ىَل نف ِيِس طرفة ع‬
‫نْي‬ ِ ‫كل ِيِن إ‬ِ ‫ َواَل ت‬، ‫يِن لُكه‬
ِ ‫شأ‬
Ḥasbiyallāhu wa niʿmal Wakīl.
Yā Ḥayyu yā Qayyūm, bi-raḥmatika astaghīth, aṣliḥ
Allāhumma lā sahla illā mā jaʿaltahū sahlā, wa lī sha’nī kullah, wa lā takilnī ilā nafsī ṭarfata ʿayn.
Allah is enough for me and He is the Best
anta tajʿalu-l-ḥazna idhā shi’ta sahlā.
Protector.
O Allah, there is no ease except in that which The Messenger of Allah g said: “The last O The Ever Living, The Sustainer of all; I seek assistance
You have made easy, and You make the utterance of Ibrāhīm n when he was thrown through Your mercy. Rectify all of my affairs and do not
difficulty easy when You wish. (Ibn Hibbān) into the fire was [the above].” (Bukhārī) entrust me to myself for the blink of an eye. (Nasā’ī)
