Three fully English-taught Master Programs and two English-taught Bachelor

Programs in the International College of Sustainability Innovations of National

Taipei University, Taiwan Now Open for Application. Online application for the

Fall Semester of 2023 starts from February 10th to April 30th, 2023.
We welcome international students who are interested in pursuing higher education in Taiwan to

Taiwan, with its advantages of quality higher education, affordable tuition, diverse culture,

from other countries. Began as Taiwan Provincial College of Public Administration in 1949, National
Taipei University (NTPU) has a long tradition of educating and training social science elite,
especially in law and business.

About International College of Sustainability Innovations


The International College of Sustainability Innovations (hereafter as ICSI) of NTPU was found
in August 2019. It is the only college in NTPU designed specifically for recruiting international

students. ICSI aims to improve the competitiveness of NTPU by providing an environment that
makes it easier for international students to study in Taiwan and receive a high-quality education.
Blending globally aligned program with locally friendly ambience, ICSI offers a broad spectrum of
unique experience and challenges for international students.
As depicted in its title, ICSI’s goal is to blend sustainability and innovation. We intend to
incorporate environmental, social and economic sustainability into our core design strategy. By
creating and offering courses related to sustainability, developing and implementing a collaborative
inter-discipline and cross-discipline teaching model and research, ICSI’s multi-cultural experiences
will prove vital to student’s future career.
Currently, ICSI is made up of three graduate master programs, Master Program of Business
Administration (MBA) in Finance, International Program on Urban Governance (IPUG) and Master
Program in Smart Healthcare Management (SHM) as well as two bachelor programs, Bachelor
Program in Smart Sustainable Development and Management (SSDM) and Bachelor Program in
Innovative Teaching Chinese (ITCSL). All the courses offered in these degree programs are fully
English taught (only partial ITCSL courses are offered in Chinese) and provide our matriculated
program students various types of financial supports includes full scholarships, partial scholarships,
tuition waivers, and assistantships.
ICSI looks for international students who aspire to share their learning experience and interact
with Taiwanese local students and students from other countries. Students can enter the programs
either in the fall or spring semester.

 Master Program of Business Administration in Finance
With the support from NTPU’s College of Business, MBA in Finance was founded in 2013,
aiming to become the incubation center of future financial leaders and equip them with global views
and Asian perspectives. The program, together with the College of Business, obtained international
accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in 2016.
MBA in Finance is the first MBA program specializing in Finance. But for students who may
interested in management more, we provide two study tracks: management and finance. We also
offer intern opportunities in financial institutions for students.

 International Program on Urban Governance
The mission of the International Program on Urban Governance (hereinafter as IPUG) is to
enhance the understanding of how cities work and what city managers should do to cope with the
unprecedented urban challenges. Yet the IPUG is different from traditional urban planning
programs. We focus on the governance aspect more, while the traditional urban planning programs
emphasize planning more. Currently, our program provides courses in 4 tracks: smart city and
urban governance, big data analytics, sustainability management, and real estate management. Our
curriculum is designed to provide insights into urban governance from global perspectives, while
retaining their relevance to the current research and innovations in western countries. Career
opportunities for our graduates include city managers, landscape architects, researchers, data
analysts, assets Manager, etc. Several forms of financial aid are available for qualified students.

 Smart Healthcare Management


The Master Program in Smart Healthcare Management (SHM) is a new established program at
International College of Sustainability Innovations. We are now recruiting international students of
various backgrounds. The program focuses on cross-field research and teaching, combining
information technology, healthcare, and management to create a digitized healthcare system and to
connect available medical resources and healthcare services. At SHM, we deliver a Master of Health
Administration (MHA) degree that thoroughly prepares students for the dynamic world of
healthcare technology. Our comprehensive, flexible, and cutting-edge curriculum is taught by
faculty experts in specialized fields and professionals from healthcare industry, which empowers
you with the potential for the future development in both careers and researches.

 Smart Sustainable Development and Management


In response to the escalation of climate change caused by carbon emissions, governments,
industries, corporations, consumers, and even investors have begun to pay more attention to the
widespread impact of climate change, as well as the need for global talents specializing in
addressing it. With the goal of fostering globalized industry, academic, and government leaders,
the Bachelor's Program in Smart Sustainable Development and Management emphasizes three key
areas: interdisciplinary teaching, the integration of artificial intelligence/big data with sustainable
financing and management along with sustainable developments, and the latest industry trends.

Designed to improve interdisciplinary teaching and talent development in response to pressing
worldwide social needs concerning environmental sustainability, financial sustainability, smart
technologies, climate change and net zero emissions, the Bachelor's Program in Smart Sustainable
Development and Management is offered in English.
Multidisciplinary training and problem-based learning are provided in economics,
environmental studies, management, social science, and information science. The interdisciplinary
and integrated learning environment enables students to become professionals in enterprise
sustainability management.

 Innovative Teaching Chinese


The Bachelor Program in Innovative Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (ITCSL) at
National Taipei University (NTPU) is a degree program that amalgamates various Chinese language
resources from the departments, graduate institutes, and colleges of NTPU. The ITCSL program is
flexible and adaptable to changing environmental conditions. Moreover, the teachers in this
program possess qualifications and experience that are equivalent to those of existing departments.
Through flexible curriculum planning, the ITCSL program meets the Chinese language learning
needs of international students, regardless of whether they have no prior learning experience or a
certain level of language proficiency. It is our hope that the diverse cultures of our international
students will enrich NTPU.
