afterwards. Cast on 222-258 sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm with yellow and work 14 rounds
stocking st, P 1 round (= folding edge), 1 vertical repeat of M.1. Change to circular needle size 4
mm and work 1 round yellow, at the same time inc 28-32 sts evenly on round = 250-290 sts.
Continue in M.2 until piece measures 55-60 cm from folding edge – adjust to pattern. Work 1
round yellow and cast off all sts. Sleeve: Cast on 44-50 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5
mm with yellow and work edge and pattern as described for body piece. Change to small circular

off.
Assembly: Insert a marking thread both sides of body piece to mark the armhole = 35 cm and a
marking thread mid front to mark the opening (let the marking thread mark the neckline too).
Sew 2 seams on a sewing machine around the marking threads for armhole and mid front, 1st
seam = ½ st from the MT, 2nd seam = ½ st from the 1st seam. Cut for armhole and mid front
and cut away surplus material at neck. Sew shoulder seams.
Pick up approx 100-116 sts round the neck on needle size 2.5 mm with yellow and work 5 rows
stocking st, P 1 row, 6 rows stocking st, cast off. Fold all edges double towards WS and fasten.
Pick up approx 100-112 sts along left front piece on needle size 2.5 mm with yellow and work 10
rows stocking st, P 1 row (= folding edge), 11 rows stocking st, cast off and fold edge double
towards WS over the cut edge and fasten. Repeat along right front piece but after 1 cm make 5
buttonholes evenly distributed. 1 buttonhole = cast off 4 sts and cast on 4 new sts on return row
– remember buttonholes on the piece in stocking sts to be folded towards WS!
Set in sleeves as follows: sew the last row in stocking st on sleeves to row after machine seam on
armhole. Turn jumper inside out and fasten piece in reverse stocking st on sleeve to body piece.
