DROPS 3 mm and 4 mm circular and double pointed needles, or sizes needed to obtain correct
gauge.

8 DROPS Kokos buttons (no. 516).

Gauge: 20 sts x 26 rows on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm.

Pattern: See charts (1 chart = 1 repeat). The pattern is seen from the right side and is knit
entirely in stockinette st.

Rib: * K 1, P 1 *. Repeat from * - *.

Garter Stitch, when knitting flat: Knit all sts, all rows.
Garter Stitch, when knitting in the round: *Rnd 1, knit. Rnd 2, purl *. Repeat from * - *.

Buttonholes: Bind off the 4th st and cast on a new st over the bound-off st on the next row. Bind
off for buttonholes when the work measures:
2 cm
8-8-9 cm
14-15-15 cm
20-21-22 cm
26-27-28 cm
32-33-35 cm
38-40-41 cm and
44-46-48 cm

Body: Cast on 219-231-243 sts (including 7 sts for the front edge on each side) on smaller
circular needles with red / cherry sorbet and knit 5 cm rib, but knit the 7 front edge sts in garter
st.
Make buttonholes on the right edge - see instructions above.
Change to larger circular needles and stockinette st, keeping the front edge stitch each side in
garter st and the 6 sts inside the edge sts each side in rib K 1, P 1(= 7 sts for the front edge).
When the work measures 12-13-14 cm knit Pattern 1 (but not over the 7 front edge sts on each
side), then knit 1 row red / cherry sorbet.
Knit the next row as follows: 7 front edge sts, 4-5-5 sts red / cherry sorbet, Pattern 5, 58-63-69
sts red / cherry sorbet, Pattern 3, 58-63-69 sts red / cherry sorbet, Pattern 2, 4-5-5 sts red /
cherry sorbet, 7 front edge sts.
At the same time, when the work measures 31-32-34 cm, knit the next row as follows: 56-59-62
sts for the front, bind off 4 sts for armhole, 99-105-111 sts for the back, bind off 4 sts for
armhole, 56-59-62 sts for the front. Knit the rest of each part separately.

Back: = 99-105-111 sts. Bind off for armhole every other row: 3 sts 1-1-2 times, 2 sts 4-4-3
times, 1 st 1-3-4 times = 75-77-79 sts. After Pattern 2, Pattern 3 and Pattern 5 are complete knit
4 rows red / cherry sorbet, then Pattern 4 and then knit the rest with red / cherry sorbet. When
the work measures 52-54-56 cm bind off the center 29-31-33 sts for the neck. Bind off 2 sts at
each neck edge on the next row. Bind off when the work measures 54-56-58 cm.

Front: = 56-59-62 sts. Bind off for armhole and knit pattern as for the back = 44-45-46 sts.
When the work measures 45-47-49 cm put 14-15-16 sts on a st holder for the neck, then bind off
for the neck (inside the sts on a holder) every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2 times.
Bind off when the work measures 54-56-58 cm

Sleeve: Cast on 48-52-54 sts on smaller double pointed needles with red / cherry sorbet; join and
place a marker at the join. Knit rib for 4 cm. Change to larger double pointed needles and
stockinette st. When the work measures 8 cm, inc 1 st each side of marker 17-17-16 times every
2 cm = 82-86-86 sts.
When the work measures 46-46-45 cm bind off 2 sts each side of marker and knit the rest of the
work back and forth on the needles. Bind off for sleeve cap every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 4
times, then dec 1 st on each side until the work measures 56-57-57 cm. Now bind off 3 sts on
each side until the work measures 58-59-59 cm, bind off.

Assembly: Sew the shoulder seams. Sew in the sleeves. Pick up approx. 113 sts with smaller
needles with red / cherry sorbet around the neck (including the sts from the st holders). Knit rib
with 1 edge st in garter st on each side at the center front, bind off loosely in rib when the neck
measures 2 cm. Sew on the buttons.
