Merits:
• This method requires less labour,less time nad is economicl.
• Sample survey is more scientific .
Demerits:
• Sample survey requires adoption of appropriate sampling method and
appropriate methods of analysis.
• If the population is too heterogeneous in nature ,the use of sampling procedure
is impossible .
