1. The tenderer must bid for all the items in the list.
2. Earnest Money Deposit: Tenderers are required to submit Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) for amount
of Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five Thousand only) along with their bids. The EMD may be submitted in the
form of an Account Payee Demand Draft, Fixed Deposit Receipt, Banker's Cheque or Bank Guarantee
from any of the public sector banks or a private sector bank authorized to conduct government
business. EMD is to remain valid for a period of forty-five days beyond the final bid validity period. EMD
of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned to them at the earliest after expiry of the final bid validity
and latest on or before the 30th day after the award of the contract. The EMD will be forfeited if the
bidder withdraws or amends, impairs or derogates from the tender in any respect within the validity
period of their tender.
3. On confirmation of the sale to the successful tenderer the payment is to be made within 10 days of
receipt of the Sale order (Confirmation of Sale).
4. After confirmation of Sale the materials at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics will remain at the sole risk
and responsibility of the buyer. The IIA will be under no liability to the buyer. IIA will not be liable
whatsoever for the safe custody, protection, or preservation after a sale has been confirmed.
5. The payment of a full amount to be made by the tenderer within 10 days on receipt of the Sale Order.
6. The successful Tenderer shall take delivery of Materials at the accepted price. The amount shall be
paid by the Tenderer by Crossed Account payee Demand Draft on any nationalized bank payable in
Bangalore drawn in favour of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore, or through RTGS
Beneficiary Name: Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Account Number: 05210100021565, Bank Name:
Bank of Baroda, Branch Name: John nagar Branch, City: Bangalore, Bank IFSC: BARB0STJOHN (the
fifth character is Zero).
7. The removal of the Materials will be permitted only after payment of the full amount and the Delivery
Order obtained from CREST, Hosakote.
8. The successful Tenderer shall arrange for any additional services required (such as Crane services
etc.,) for removal of the materials being sold on receipt of Sale Order. If the goods are not removed
within a month of having paid the amount, IIA will have the right to dispose of such goods in any manner
they like and the buyer will have no right to any compensation. The money paid by the successful
Tenderer will not be refundable for un-cleared goods.
9. In case the buyer wishes to take Delivery of the Materials purchased, through a Representative, he
must authorize the letter clearly by Name, by a letter of authority, with duly attested specimen signature
to the Representative. IIA, however, does not undertake any responsibility for the identity of the
Representative and for wrong delivery.
10. While taking delivery of the materials it will be at the discretion of the authorized representative of the
Company to decide the manner in which materials shall be removed. No segregation of the materials
will be entertained at IIA premises.
11. The delivery of the materials can be taken by the successful Tenderer on any working day from CREST,
person for the collection of materials should report well in time.
12. Form 39 will not be issued by IIA. The successful tenderer has to bring Form 39 along with him as the

materials are sold as “AS IS WHERE IN CONDITION” at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, 2 Block,
Koramangala, Bengaluru. If any additional Challan/ Sale Order copies are required to comply with
Check Post requirement, the same may be arranged at his end by taking photocopies.
13. INSPECTION: Tenderers can inspect the materials on designated dates × mentioned in the tender
document.
14. IIA will not be in any way responsible for failure to deliver the materials due to causes beyond their
control such as Strikes, Cessation of labours, shortened hours of labour, natural calamities or any
cause or contingency whatsoever. The buyer shall not be entitled to cancel the Contract and the period
of delivery shall automatically be extended accordingly.
