NOTE: If you wish buttons instead of a zipper, follow the instructions below:
Body: Cast on 2 sts more at each side (center front) - which are knit in garter st. When binding
off for armholes there are then 2 more sts on each front piece. When binding off for the neck add
2 more sts to the first bind-off.
When the work measures 1 cm, 11 cm, 21 cm, 31 cm, 41 cm and 51 cm bind off for buttonholes
on the right front as follows: Bind off the 3rd and 4th sts and cast on 2 new sts over the bound-
off sts on the next row.
Pick up the collar from the center of the buttonband.

Body: Cast on 154 (166-174) sts on smaller circular needles with 1 strand brown and 1 strand
orange and knit 2 rows garter st. Change to larger circular needles and knit Pattern, keeping the
3 sts at each center front edge in garter st. When the work measures 36 (36-35) cm, knit the
next row as follows: 39 (42-44) sts for the front, bind off 2 sts for armhole, 72 (78-82) sts for the
back, bind off 2 sts for armhole, 39 (42-44) sts for the front. Knit the rest of each part separately.

Right Front: = 39 (42-44) sts. Bind off 2 sts at side for armhole every other row 1 (1-2) times,
then dec 1 st 1 (3-2) times = 36 (37-38) sts. When the work measures 52 cm bind off at neck
edge every other row: 7 (8-8) sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 2 times. Bind off all sts when the
work measures 61 cm.

Left Front: As right but bind off's and dec opposite sides.

Back: = 72 (78-82) sts. Bind off for armholes as on the fronts = 66 (68-70) sts. When work
measures 59 cm, bind off the center 16 (18-18) sts for the neck. Then bind off 2 sts at each neck
edge on the next row. Bind off all sts when the work measures 61 cm.

Sleeves: Cast on 34 (36-36) sts on smaller double pointed needles with 1 strand brown and 1
strand orange; join and place a marker at the join. Knit 2 rows garter st. Change to larger double
pointed needles and knit Pattern to finished dimensions. When the work measures 5 cm, inc 1 st
each side of marker every 3rd row 18 (17-18) times = 70 (70-72) sts. When the work measures
45 (44-44) cm, bind off 1 st each side of marker and knit the rest back and forth on the needles.
Shape sleeve caps: bind off at each side every other row: 6 (5-4) sts 4 (5-6) times, bind off all
sts. The work measures approx. 51 (51-52) cm.

bands from the wrong side on smaller double pointed needles with 1 strand orange and 1 strand
