This article provides photos and discusses the best hair colors for Asians other
than black hair. These colors includes red, and light, medium, and dark brown
hair colors. As an East Asian, whether you are Chinese, Japanese, or Korean, or
another ethnicity, you might have thought about coloring your hair a different
shade from the black hair you were born with.

Even if you only try dyeing your hair once in your life, these suggestions will help
make sure you are happy with the results! These colors will look great with
flattering hairstyles.

If you have the freedom to choose a new shade, it can be a very liberating and
beautifying experience. When I first dyed my hair, my Chinese family was not
too happy, but it helped that some of my friends were taking this step too!

Note: While this article has pictures of Asian women, these hair colors of course
apply to Asian men as well!

Some Asian women have natural red highlights in their hair (often Korean). But
if you'd like to try having shockingly beautiful cool maroon red hair like these
models, try L'Oreal Preference Intense Dark Red. This color is designed for cool
skin tones.

When you have maroon hair, a color that might highlight any off-color tones in
your skin, like blemishes, you might want to add anotherstep to your beauty
routine to help ensure a flawless look.

This color tells people you are your own woman and don't mind breaking with
tradition. It's is also a safer color to go for if you are used to having dark hair
and don't want to go too light. Many women with naturally dark hair dislike the
idea of going radically lighter.

Light brown hair is flattering on Asian women, especially if you have a hint of
beige coloring in your skin. You will usually want to get the color professionally
done in a salon so that it turns out correctly.

It is important that when you go from natural black hair to a lighter color that
you also use a shampoo and conditioner that help preserve your color from
fading and drying out.

If you have some time on your hands, you can cut off three swatches of your
hair, purchase three different boxes of hair dye, and see if you like the results
on any one of them. In the long run, this will save you a lot of money.

If you aren't looking for a dramatic difference in the color of your hair, one of
the best hair colors for Asians is medium brown. Since your eyes are likely
already brown, this hair color will look close to natural on you -- just as brown
hair looks natural on European women with brown eyes. In this sense it has less
to do with ethnicity and more to do with color coordination of traits.

It is a myth that all East Asians and Southeast Asians have black hair.

It is not uncommon for pure East Asians and pure Southeast Asians to have
naturally dark brown hair. Further, those who spend a lot of time walking or

slight change, there is no color safer for you than dark brown.

It is extremely flattering on Asian skin because it gives your face a glowing

warmth. You can color your hair dark brown at home without fear of damaging
your hair or getting the color wrong.
