Note:
● In each case, the student has to submit an apology letter
● In each case, the student will also be served a written reprimand
● Any violation committed by a student, regardless of its nature, shall be reported to the parent/ guardian
● All the fine amounts should be paid to the Dean of Students / respective hostel accounts as follows:
o Less than ₹5000 => within one week
o ₹5000-₹15000 => within two weeks
o Above ₹15000 => within three weeks
● When the same student commits multiple offenses (e.g., Vandalism in an inebriated condition), penalties shall be imposed
concurrently.
● Monetary fines may be revised every three years
● The competent authority may impose any of the above punishments on any student found guilty of any acts of indiscipline or
misconduct mentioned as the case may be.
● A student (repeat offender) shall be expelled if he/she was awarded 5 (five) or more punishments during the entire duration of the
program of study.
● If someone disagrees with the IDCS decision, they can appeal to the Director within 30 days of communicating it.
● The appellate authority has discretionary powers to uphold, change, or waive the punishment as deemed fit.
● The list of breaches is not exhaustive, only indicative. Any other breach reported to the IDCS will be handled according to
existing procedures, with appropriate penalties.
● Use or possession of firearms/weapons (as per relevant Indian law) and physical violence shall be reported to the police.
