AEC – Capstone Project ( Pre-final year )

Aim : To provide a platform for a hands on experience to the students about

a) Placement procedure
b) Preparation required for selection
c) Understand the approach of recruiter
d) Understand the evaluation system and the reason for the same.

Group assignment: A Group of four students (same grade e.g. all “A” , “B” , “C” & “D”)

Activities:

a) A group would represent a recruitment team of a company, offering a placement.( Job offered by
the group should be approved by the AEC faculty)
b) Prepare a Job Description.
c) Advertise the Job description, attracting registrations using google form.
d) Conduct Pre placement talk for the students enrolled.
e) Conduct all of the following for minimum 15 students
i) Objective Aptitude test
ii) Lecture – 3 minutes
iii) Group discussion ( in a group of six )- 20 minutes
iv) Technical / Domain interview ( minimum 15 minutes each )
v) HR Interview ( minimum 15 minutes each )
f) Prepare grade card for each participants and short list 3 students with ranking 1, 2 & 3.
g) Prepare a “10” minutes of video of above activities conducted by you including 2 minutes of
leanings from the project ( all group members to speak )

Submission by the group:

a) 10 minutes Video
b) Presentation in class about the process and leanings
c) Project report ( Vision, About company , process, JD, Aptitude test with answer key, Question bank
for Technical/ Domain Interview/ HR Interview, question Bank of GD / Lecture Topics)- Reason for
each assessment and method of assessment used , tabulated evaluation .

Note: Each student should

a) Participate (apply ) for minimum three jobs.

b) Record and submit his/her lecture & interview.
