The successful completion of this project mark the beginning of an ever - going learning
experience of converting ideas and concepts into real life, practical system. This project was
a quite a learning experience for me at each and every step. At the same time it has given

 INTRODUCTION

ORGANISATION PROFILE:

Internshala is an internship and online training platform, based in Gurgaon, India.

Founded by Sarvesh Agrawal, an IIT Madras alumunus, in 2010, the website helps
students find internships with organizations in India.
The platform, which was founded in 2010, started out as a WordPress blog that
aggregated internships across India and articles on education, technology and the skill
gap. They coat themselves as "We are a technology company on a mission to equip
students with relevant skills & practical exposure through internships and online
training. Imagine a world full of freedom. and possibilities. A world where you can
discover your passion and turn it into your career. A world where your practical skills
matter more than your university degree. A world where you do not have to wait till 21
to taste your first work experience. A world where you graduate fully assured, fully
confident, and fully prepared to stake a claim on your place in the world" Internshala
launched its online training in 2014. As of 2018, the platform had 3.5 million students
and 80,000 companies.

In August 2016, Telangana's not-for-profit organization, Telangana Academy for Skill

and Knowledge (TASK) partnered with Internshala to help students with internship
resources and career services. In September 2016, Team Indus, Google XPRIZE
shortlisted entity, partnered with Internshala for college outreach for its initiative,
Lab2Moon

In 2011, the website became a part of NASSCOM 10K Start-ups. In 2015, Internshala
was a finalist im People Matters Tech HR 2015 Spotlight Awards under Futurism m
Recruitment category.
 INTRODUCTION OF PROJECT

INTRODUCTION
Project Name: Pg Life

Pg Life is a full-stack web application designed to assist individuals in finding paying

guest accommodations (PGs) conveniently. The platform aims to streamline the
process of searching for PGs based on various parameters like location, amenities,
pricing, and user preferences

Key Features:

User Registration and Profile Management:

Users can register, create profiles, and manage their information.

Profile settings may include preferences like location, budget, facilities required, etc.

PG Listing and Search Functionality:

PG owners/admins can list their available accommodations, including details like

location, facilities, rent, images, etc.
Users can search for PGs based on filters such as location, price range, amenities,
etc.

Booking and Reservation:

Users can book PGs based on availability through a reservation system.

Confirmation and notification system for booking status.

Reviews and Ratings:

Users can leave reviews and ratings for PGs they have stayed in, helping others make
informed decisions.

Frontend Technology
HTML
The HyperText Markup Language or HTML is the standard markup language for
documents designed to be displayed in a web browser. It defines the content and
structure of web content. It is often assisted by technologies such as Cascading Style
Sheets and scripting languages such as JavaScript.

CSS
Cascading Style Sheets is a style sheet language used for specifying the presentation
and styling of a document written in a markup language such as HTML or XML. CSS is a
cornerstone technology of the World Wide Web, alongside HTML and JavaScript.

JavaScript
JavaScript, often abbreviated as JS, is a programming language and core technology of
the World Wide Web, alongside HTML and CSS. As of 2023, 98.7% of websites use
JavaScript on the client side for webpage behavior, often incorporating third-party
libraries.

Bootstrap
Bootstrap is a free and open-source CSS framework directed at responsive, mobile-first
front-end web development. It contains HTML, CSS and JavaScript-based design
templates for typography, forms, buttons, navigation, and other interface
components.
 Backend Technology:

PHP
PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) is a general-purpose scripting language used for web
development. It's used primarily for server-side scripting, but can also be used for
command-line scripting and desktop applications.

PHP is known for its simplicity, speed, and flexibility. It's used in over 75% of all
websites that use server-side programming languages.

Database Management

MySQL
MySQL is an open-source relational database management system. Its name is a
combination of "My", the name of co-founder Michael Widenius's daughter My, and
"SQL", the acronym for Structured Query Language.
 CONCLUSION

Internshala's Full Stack Web Development training provides a structured learning

environment where participants engage in theoretical learning, practical exercises, and

program.
